This recently awarded 5-star property is located within 550 yards of Haymarket Railway Station and 15 minutes’ walk from central Edinburgh. The rooms offer free WiFi and private parking is available. The Roseate Edinburgh was built in 1852 and still has many original features, including open fireplaces. The individually decorated bedrooms have Egyptian cotton bed linen, an LCD flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee trays with home-made shortbread and en-suite facilities with free toiletries. The Suites include features such as 4-poster beds, freestanding copper roll-top baths in the bedroom, or sweeping views over the Edinburgh cityscape. The Dunstane Restaurant and Bar hosts all-day dining and daily afternoon tea, as well as gin and whisky tastings. It serves a great selection of ales from some of Scotland’s micro-brewers and has over 100 types of whiskies and over 30 different craft gins. Lovely hotel and staff, cozy room, would recommend

Pros: We had a lovely time at the Roseate. The room was on the small side but not something that bothered us (as 2 friends staying in the same room) as space was properly utilised. Breakfast was delicious and staff were accommodating of my allergies. Cozy atmosphere and everyone there was great.

Cons: Only small note we have is that we were unable to order any drinks (non-alcoholic / alcoholic) around midnight as the front desk agent did not have access to the system.

A beautiful hotel with delightful staff.

Pros: Beautiful building, great location and very accommodating of our dog. The staff were also delightful. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast was great also.

Little slice of luxury. Amazing staff

Pros: Beautiful building and grounds. Dining area very luxurious. Staff were amazing and so attentive. Shout out Zoltan and Alexander for such a warm welcome. Offered us a free room upgrade on arrival. Beds comfy big pillows. Shortbread every day, great breakfast options. Very quiet peaceful area.

Cons: 30ish minute walk from Edinburgh centre/castle Few items missing off of full Scottish breakfast. Couldn’t accept upgrade because that “better” room didn’t have a bath :(

Cons: The bar closed early as it was very quiet.

Pros: Good location for Murray field and City centre being in between the two.

Cons: Keys for room were big so handed them back in when I went out. There was no check when picking them back up and I could have been anyone. Bit of a concern when leaving valuables in the room. A simple check by staff would resolve this.
