Pros: The location was very convenient and the room was both clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our three night stay tremendously and would recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to stay for a short time in Edinburgh.

We enjoyed our stay and liked the spacious room.

Pros: We had a pleasurable stay in the hotel for 3 nights. The room was spacious and the staff were friendly. We were visiting a relative and the hotel is just within 10 min walk from where they live which was ideal. The hotel is within walking distance to the Haymarket station and Princes Street.

Cons: The bed was made up everyday which was great. It would be nice if they could sweep the floor daily as well.

Pros: I liked loction and double beds. The toom was clean. We had a coffee and tea for the morning.

Cons: The Tv was not working properly. We tried to watch but sound disappeared. But beautiful place. Could be more coffee. There was only one cup for the 2 people each

Good but needs improving

Pros: Very nice stuff, very helpful, he did agree to change our room for a bigger one with no extra costs👍, good location , we left our cars parked even after check out , very good beds and confortable. Good food.

Cons: Very noisy even after 10pm , we had the room on 1st floor on top of the desk, people coming in and talking very loudly , especially having kids sleeping, everything inside quite old , and a bit cold in the rooms even if the radiator was working , hot tap was cold and cold tap was hot 😅 . We've been here 8 years ago and everything was the same , no improvement on decor or room expectation.

Pros: The room was quite basic but everything I needed for my stay. The information sent before my stay was very useful. Breakfast was fine and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons: If I had to be picky. The room was just off reception and was a little noisy until about 11 o clock. I would definitely stay there again but I would ask for a room upstairs.

Pros: I could not recommend the Cumberland Hotel more. It is the picture of charm. The room was cozy, comfortable, and supplied with everything for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and they helped me feel safe as a solo traveller. Beautiful location. The Cumberland Hotel proved to be the most sublime start and end to my busy travel days.

Pros: The location was great. Clean and comfy rooms. The staff were very nice, polite and professional. We had the traditional breakfast and it was delicious and hearty. The tram stop was 5 minutes away.
