Perfect

Pros: Everything was perfect! We definitely recommend this stay and we will come back

An effortlessly chic stay in the heart of the city.

Pros: The room had everything one needs. Glorious high ceilings, comfortable bed, plenty of light and really warm. The shower room was small but the shower is big (which I think is the right way round for space). It felt really safe. Perfect location. The common areas were really generous and comfortable too.

Cons: The blind could do with curtains to make it totally dark inside.

Pros: The single room I had was great. It was clean and comfortable and had character. The shared rooms downstairs for communal meals and making hot drinks and lounging were spotless, generously sized, comfortable and really unexpected. As far as location goes it couldn't be better. Standing at the front door, the Haymarket Station is within sight, possibly 200m away, if that. Heaps of buses go past the end of the street as well, but it only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Waverly end of Princes Street from the hotel. Also it was good value for money.

Business trip - 5*

Pros: Stayed two nights for a business trip. I have spent many times in Edinburgh on business in some, let's say, interesting places. JOIVY was exceptional compared to other places and I would absolutely come back here again, for both business and pleasure. Lovely ambience, rooms (room 6) was large, very comfy, quite, clean, very well equipped! (Little fridge and kettle made the world of difference after a long day in the office!) Great two nights staying here!

Pros: Its the most amazing housed accommodation i ever rented

Generally very pleasant. Would stay again if the price was right.

Pros: Great location. Very clean and good supply of items for hot drinks. Joivy very responsive when messaging.

Cons: In the little ensuite bathroom, some floor tiles were cracked and moving. Could possibly injure feet when going to bathroom. Needs attention. Light in mirror was flashing on/off. Needs attention. Water leak coming from attic hatch. Not sure if attended to after I notified them.

Great location, place was clean, organised, coffee room with coffe machine available, living room, I loved everything.

Pros: Check in was pretty easy, the room was clean and organised, very good location. I love it.

Cons: Not having a place to store bags before check in or after check out.

Warm and comfortable room, in a quiet location but still handy for the city

Pros: Warm and comfortable bed/room Quiet area but also handy for the city either on foot or by tram Nice communal room to have a coffee in (coffee machine was great and easy to use)

Cons: Not so keen that it required an app on my phone to open the doors

Pros: The staff were so friendly and always happy to help and went above and beyond

Pros: Close to Princess street ( few stops by tram), easy access to the building, price, coffee machine and fruit in the living room

Cons: No microwave, no elevator
