The Colonsay Hotel

Great apart from Google maps directions!

Pros: Excellent small and comfortable hotel, lovely polite staff 😊

Cons: Booking.com directions took us to Colonsay House which isn't the hotel. Apparently this happens frequently and the staff have asked Booking.com with Google maps to change it. If you're going drive straight up the hill opposite the ferry and the hotel is at the top, first building to the right. There's parking just past the hotel on the left.

Pleasant stay all round

Pros: Perfect place with easy access to everything on the island

Cons: Room 6 was a bit small but Room 7 was lovely

Pros: Great room 4. Over looking Jura. Bed comfy Breakfast choice great cooked breakfast lots of high standard. Evening meal had enough variety to keep us having a change each of the 3 nights. Stunning views from the restaurant and breakfast room. Local bike hire recommended at 20 per day

Pros: After a ferry cancellation we had to quickly find accommodation on the island and we are so glad we stayed here! All the staff were so helpful and dinner was fantastic. Our room was cute and comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure. There were different lounges to relax in and a nice patio area where we sat out in the sun and watched the bunnies in the garden. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Island Hotel

Pros: Great location, with lovely staff. Our room was very comfortable and we slept well. Good hearty food in the bar/restaurant and lovely breakfast.

Cons: It was hard to get answers to a few questions prior to our stay, this lets the hotel down as once we were there we were made to feel very welcome.

Perfect anniversary stay in a wonderful hotel

Pros: Perfect location. Friendly, helpful staff - went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and so knowledgeable about the local area. Food in the restaurant is excellent - we ate here every night and every meal was superb & the views are lovely. Lovely lounge areas too and the breakfast was also great. Special shout out to the coffee! Comfy beds, great shower and peaceful room, couldn’t have asked for more.

Pros: Nice relaxing lay out downstairs plenty room to sit and enjoy a drink

Pros: The relaxed atmosphere and plenty of different seating areas downstairs. The dinners were very good with a very efficient and friendly waitress.

Cons: Lack of toast at breakfast

Colonsay Hoitel

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Beautifully clean, comfortable rooms. Very well situated. Wonderful catering, outstanding food.

Cons: Two sashes of the windows were broken, so only one window opened. Obviously in line for being mended as the rest of the standard was A1.
