Exceptional Stay in Edinburgh

Pros: From the very first moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, always making sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. The room was spotless and offered an amazing view of the city skyline. I also loved the location — very central yet just outside the busy tourist areas, which made it feel more relaxed and authentic. Being just around the corner from Dean Village was a real highlight, and getting around the city was easy thanks to the great connections.

Pros: Great location, clean, really appreciated the mini kitchen, staff were friendly, approachable and helpful, loved the small touches for instance umbrellas for guests!

Cons: Breakfast would have made it 10/10

Cons: Hotel a little far away from the main streets of Edinburgh, no bar to purchase drinks

Absolutely fantastic hotel, fabulous room decor and lovely staff.

Pros: I booked last minute after missing a flight and arrived very late. The lovely lady on reception asked about my day and on hearing it was my birthday she very kindly gave me a lovely handwritten card, wine and chocolate! Such a kind gesture and much needed given my day!

Excellent no complaints at all

Pros: We just had a wonderful stay at the resident from the very beginning the warm and friendly reception and the accommodation was great during the stay we even got a slightly complimentary late check out and the staff stored our bags after check out until we returned later in the evening to collect.The location is an easy walk into the heart of the city but also has good bus links across the road to the city centre as well.There is an excellent choice of eateries within a couple minutes walk as well.The staff were excellent and super friendly and helpful.We can’t wait to return for another stay.

A great hotel, excellent location and staff amazing.

Pros: The staff are amazing friendly and professional particularly on the reception and in the lounge area.

Cons: Everything was good but the room was a little small. Having said that there was a mini kitchen area with a sink and microwave which was an added bonus.

Pros: We stayed in that hotel for 2 nights and it was lovely. Very good location close to city centre, train station and cafe. We received early check-in and room with amazing view as kindly requested. Hotel staff really goes above and beyond to make sure you have amazing experience with the place. Thank you the Resident Edinburgh. Definitely would choose the same hotel again.

Pros: The room was quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. Danielle was a very warm and welcoming desk host, and explained everything perfectly including her favourite things in the surrounding area.

Fantastic stay.

Pros: Everything. The staff were unbelievably friendly and made us feel very welcome. Each room decorated to a high standard and lots of space. Dressing table with a seat and vanity mirror was a nice addition. Bathroom and shower clean and good water pressure. Although we didn’t use it, the kitchenette is convenient if needed. The complimentary drink 5pm-6pm was fantastic and the staff couldn’t have looked after us any better.

Cons: Very minor issue which doesn’t take anything away from our stay, but no breakfast tea bags provided. Lots of flavoured tea but no breakfast. Also, the air con controller was awkward to use and didn’t really work but the temperature was comfortable.
