Brilliant wee hotel

Pros: Very warm welcome from staff on arrival. Everything explained regarding access, breakfast, lifts. Unfortunately on our last day the kitchen was out of order for some reason so the staff were really apologetic that they couldn't provide breakfast, and explained that a refund would make its way back to me via Booking.com

Pros: Comfortable and cosy room, good food and drinks at reasonable value.

Cons: Room was really compact, bed too near the walls.

Pros: The location is excellent, you can reach the Old Town (including Edinburgh Castle), Georgian city and Waverley Station easily by walking. Groceries and shopping are not far away as Princes Street is also just around the corner. The staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is delicious and hearty.

Cons: Bathroom facilities need fixing, the temperature knob for the shower/bath is missing the button cover, although importantly it still works. Also, the pulling door was creaky. The draining of the sink was slow, as it must have been clogged.

Nice boutique hotel with some distinctive features and a bar worth visiting for its atmosphere

Pros: Good location for central Edinburgh and convenient for us as attending a function in hotel. Nice room with comfortable bed and a bath which we like. Bar and restaurant had a good atmosphere and live music in the evening.

Cons: Function room was in basement and was long and narrow in shape. There was limited seating and tables so guests had to stand for most of the night.

Great hotel in centre of town

Pros: Location, uniqueness, and staff. You automatically get 20% off in the hotel bar and restaurant. Loved how the rooms were all named after Scottish artists, we stayed in the Amy McDonald room. The heating in the room was clearly on the fritz so they supplied an alternative heating source that was perfect. No fuss nor disregard for their clientele they just cracked on and managed the situation like a boss!

Cons: Nothing to dislike

A whistle stop overnight stay to attend an event. Which I could have stayed longer.

Pros: Great location, super friendly staff and a great selection of drinking the bar.

Cons: The huge picture of Gerard Butler above the bed!🤣

Pros: Reception first class, as was the rest of the hotel. Entertainment again was very good.

Cons: Had a small issue with the bar bill, got charged double plus the same drinks were charged at a different rate. However the issue was quickly sorted out the next morning by reception and the difference refunded, the difference in the drinks was a service charge the first did not have a device charge the second did.
