Mid Calder Cottage

Pros: The cottage was set off the main road, so it was very quiet. It is a cosy cottage with beautiful decor. It is lovely and clean and well equipped for your stay. The bed is extremely comfortable. They also added snacks for your stay, which was a lovely thought. All in all extremely pleased with my stay there.

Comfy, cozy, clean, quiet... Perfect place to base yourself on your adventures. Highly recommended.

Pros: So much to like. Usually one needs a clean, comfy base, from which to explore the surrounds. However, the cottage was so nice and cozy, we spent some time just enjoying it.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The place felt like home, and definitely made the whole experience of Scotland so much better. Its filled with everything you need, the hosts are always happy to help and answer quickly if needed. The location might be a bit far from some places, but its very approachable and has beautiful walking trails you can take. It was very clean, filled with essentials (and more), comfortable for sleep and cooking too. It has a very warm & homy vibe, I would definitely go there again for a longer stay.

A wonderful house in the suburbs of Edinburgh.

Pros: A wonderful house in the suburbs of Edinburgh. You find yourself in a medieval fairy tale. But inside the house, everything is modern, very comfortable, and beautiful. There is everything you need to spend time. Great location, close to the bus stop. There are two shops and a cafe nearby. The hosts are very friendly and responded quickly. A compliment was waiting for us upon arrival. Thank you very much. It was very nice.

Clean, comfy stay in a central location for a good price.

Pros: Sweet, cozy and comfortable. Felt very homey. Immaculate. Thoughtful touched made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Owner was very easy to contact and promptly answered questions. Location is so close to so many great places to visit - within 45 minutes. It’s a great location from which to take day trips - places to see in every direction!

Cons: I really loved the cottage. I guess the only thing is if you’re looking for a view or outside patio you won’t find it. That didn’t matter to us as we just basically slept there.
