River Inn Killen

Pros: After a long day of hiking, the warm welcome was exactly what we needed. Shown to our room which was spacious, spotless, everything you needed was supplied. Very comfortable beds, shower was great and lots of hot water. Bar restaurant was a 30 second walk from accommodation, warm friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious ( huge portions) and extremely good value, staff attentive, helpful and friendly. 100% would recommend and will use this as a base for future trips to the area.

Cons: Nothing, honestly have no complaints!

A lovely hotel in an excellent location.

Pros: The hotel is centrally located. The room was very comfortable and spacious and we had the use of the covered seating area. The price was reasonable.

Cons: Due to work on the hotel there was no food or bar. It was not a major issue as other hotels were available.

Cons: Just be aware the portions are very generous in the restaurant so order carefully if you have a modest appetite!

Warm comfortable room, quiet when bar was closed

Pros: - Huge bed, and comfortable - Radiator on 24/7 under guest's control - Plenty of hot water - Fridge - Hosts accommodated early check in - A great stopover for passing through on our cycle tour - Was very quiet as we were there Mon-Tue when the bar above is closed. Don't know what effect the bar being open would have had on the inn rooms below

Cons: - Light in the bathroom (room 6) was on permanently & visible at night even with door closed - No heating in bathroom, and heat doesn't transfer well from main room - No extractor fan in bathroom and no window to open We recognise that this place has been under new ownership for only a few months following the retirement of the previous owners so maybe they are in the process of ironing out things like the bathroom lighting issue

Lovely place to stay about as close to the Falls of Dochart as you can get!

Pros: Really great location, super friendly owner, comfortable room, excellent seat outside that you can enjoy even when it rains! Also recommend the restaurant above!
