Definitely value for money, perfect location and wonderful views

Pros: Location, my room overlooked the water and glorious bridges. The room was 2 floors above the pub, couldn’t hear a peep from the room. The owner allowed me to park on the car park at the rear, which saved a lot of messing about with parking machines.

Cons: The room was quite hot in the night, even during the stay in February as the room radiator was always on. The sash window fully open made it better, and with a lively sound of the waves right outside.

Quirky property, great view of The Bridge

Pros: Great view of The Bridge. Comfy bed Very handy wee car park behind the hotel (not that obvious - we only noticed it after we were in the room but moved the car into it later, no problem) Be aware there didn't seem to be breakfast available but there's loads of cafes nearby for breakfast.

Cons: The room was freezing on arrival and the landlady instantly turned up the radiators when she showed us into the room but bottom line is more heating required as it's a historic property without double-glazing (which would spoil it). We could probably have asked for a plug in heater as well but we just improvised with judicious use of the hairdryer while in the room. There was no blind on the bathroom window which was big and overlooked the nearby shore where folk were beachcombing, so use of the loo was tricky! The shower was a bit easier to negotiate. The bathroom was a bit warmer than the bedroom luckily.

Pleasant stay in my old neighbourhood

Pros: Pleasant stay visiting my old neighbourhood. Friendly staff. Only small thing is the bathroom, I am tall and could not stand up in the shower and no hand grabs to get out of the bath. Would recommend.

Cons: The bathroom, small for a tall person.

Pros: It was a comfortable bed and nice surroundings, the staff were excellent, Louise went above and beyond getting me a taxi at short notice and showing me around the pub , plus explaining events that were taking place early New Years Day .👍🏻😃

Cons: Maybe a net curtain in the bathroom
