The White Stag Inn

Wow, exceeded all my expectations.

Pros: I was upgraded to a room with an ensuite bathroom, the bed was big and comfy. All the rates included a continental breakfast and it wasn't just a sorry piece of bread and butter, instead, we got a large selection of cut meats, cheese, cake, fresh fruit and even freshly boiled eggs and fresh bread and hot drinks to go with juices. There was also home made jam.

Pros: We had a very comfortable Saturday night stay, stopping off en route to Oban. Parking off street at the rear of premises. We arrived after 7 and were warmly welcomed on a very cold November evening. Our room and en suite were clean, nicely furnished and cosy. Good bath and the bed was extremely comfortable. I know folk go on about beds but the White Stag’s was exceptional. We enjoyed the vibrant pub and its quiz night. Breakfast was continental but with very wide choice. We were out of mobile signal but Wifi worked very well. Will definitely stop over here again.

Cosy hotel with delicious food and lovely staff

Pros: Lovely friendly helpful staff. Beautiful cosy bar with delicious food. Exactly what a country pub / hotel should be. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Pros: Warm friendly atmosphere. Beautiful room. Good food

Cons: Shower was a little bit unpredictable.

Pros: So welcoming and helpful. The room was excellent and had a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend it.

Great pub and accommodation

Pros: I had a double room (RM 3) which was large and had a bathtub. It was at the end of the hotel furthest from the bar which was great as it was very quiet. The pub is in a great location for the Rob Roy Way and is close to the bus stop. Bar was friendly and full of locals in the evening. Breakfast was only continental but was more than enough for me. Would happily stay here again.

Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Pros: Super friendly and helpful stuff. Very good continental breakfast included. Clean bedsheets and wonderfully scented towels. Beautiful scenery around.

Overall, a nice place in a convenient location

Pros: Brilliant breakfast, lovely staff and a nice clean room

Cons: Rubbish piled up near carpark and overgrown weeds created a bad first impression

A perfect place to stop on a walking trip. Staff could not have been nicer ☺️

Pros: Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were perfect for our post walk recovery and sleep. They were very accommodating, giving us a very early breakfast before our charity hike.

Cons: A bit of traffic noise due to our room being on the roadside.

Pros: We arrived late due to traffic works - everyone was very accommodating with check in and breakfast arrangements the next morning (given our inability to pre-order the evening before, as requested).

Cons: The wifi struggled during our short stay.
