Black Bull Gartmore

Pros: This is a very welcoming hotel and displays its interesting history. We had a great meal on a very wet February Sunday night.. The room was lovely and the breakfast superb. We will be going back.

The perfect place to recharge after a tough day outdoors.

Pros: Although the bar was busy our room was very quiet. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

Cons: The cooked breakfast was good but the buffet part had no fresh fruit, only tinned peaches so was a bit disappointing.

Pros: The property was on our intended route in a rural village setting. It was easy to find. The staff were very friendly the rooms were clean and if the restaurant is closed, there are places to eat within a short drive. The breakfast was excellent plenty to eat and cooked fresh.

Cons: Nothing.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Black Bull and will be returning.

Pros: Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was really good. We found the historical photos and information on the walls and within the building interesting. The hotel is in a lovely area for walking and we walked in to neighbouring Aberfoyle.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place.

Pros: The staff had kindly put away some items which I left last week. I was so relieved when they informed me they had found them. We had a different room but it was excellent. Had an evening meal which was very tasty. Breakfast was as good as before. Service great, staff welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return.

Cons: Not a criticism but you might want to get a bigger bottom sheet for the massive, beautiful bed 🙂

Fantastic little hotel.

Pros: The establishment was warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very big and so comfortable. I had a pain-free sleep. The meals were very good. We had both evening meals and breakfast.

Had a great stay at the Blackbull Hotel...no complaints about anything.

Pros: Exceptional stay. Room was beautiful. Clean, gorgeous toiletries, delicious breakfast, staff were excellent and the evening meal at the onside restaurant was delicious!

Pros: Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed, large bathroom. Made to feel very welcome by all staff. Restaurant was great in the evening, good service and great food. Breakfast was perfect, had cooked breakfasts and everything fresh.

Pros: We had a very enjoyable stay The room was comfortable and clean with toiletries and tea and coffee facilities . The breakfast was cooked to order. Served with tea,coffee ,fruit juice and cereal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu in the evening had plenty to choose from, it was well presented and very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend a stay and we certainly would return if up that way again
