"The Anchor Inn was a traditional Drovers Inn dating back to 1888. Over recent years, it has undergone tasteful modernisation and now boasts a nautical-themed bar and restaurant area with hearty food and good ale. We have various rooms, all en-suite, and many have views of the Gareloch Sea. Eating at the Anchor Inn, we offer our guests the option of breakfast and dinner within our bar/restaurant area; please note that this is subject to additional charges. We would ask that guests book tables for dinner ahead of their arrival to ensure availability. Entertainment at the Anchor Inn: throughout the year, we offer various entertainment, from live music to quiz nights. See our website for further information. Pros: Fabulous stay. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We slept like logs. The food is amazing. The specials menu was delicious. Good hearty Scottish breakfast. All staff were very friendly and polite, especially Michael. Great atmosphere in the pub. There's a good variety of beer spirits, etc. Thank you for making our stay wonderful, we will be back.
