No problem with accommodation or location owners very nice

Exceptional service, value and location.

Pros: Pretty little B&B in a fantastic location - this was our second New Year stay and I’m sure we’ll be back for a third. Jan is the best host I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting - she goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Gordon produces the best breakfasts and they use fantastic quality ingredients.

Pros: Very convenient in centre of Callander. Free parking in street outside house. Friendly, helpful staff.

Homey, cosy and heartily Bed & Breakfast

Pros: The friendliest staff/hosts that made you feel right at home. It’s nothing fancy, but gosh it has charm and is such a lovely place to stay.

Cons: The bed was very loud upon turning and the (electric) shower also was a bit difficult to work with. But I think those things were only in the solo-room I stayed in and not the other rooms

Pros: We loved our stay at the guesthouse! Our gorgeous attic room, the wonderful breakfasts. Jane and Gordon are very generous and helpful hosts. Highland House is a gem in the beautiful town of Callander .

Lived up to our expectations and more.

Pros: The hotel is situated near the main street but sufficiently down a side street that there is little traffic noise and no parking problem. We liked the friendly welcome and the fact that everything we needed was provided. The breakfasts were excellent.

Cons: The plumbing was a bit noisy, but that was not really a problem. Nothing else!

Perfect

Pros: Lovely hosts, perfect location, fabulous food and the bed was the most comfy I’ve slept in. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in years! The view was perfect and I wish I’d booked another night!

We really enjoyed the stay here and would not hesitate to come here and to Callander again.

Pros: Our stay generally went very well. The only negative was my own doing as I never mentioned a quite recent knee replacement. We were on the top floor in which the view was exceptional ly beautiful. I did find the stairs a struggle but would I accept a compromise, room on a lower level without the view? The answer would be no as every time you looked out it raised a smile.

Cons: If I am being picky, a sightly deeper mattress but again it is difficult to say whether that was due to discomfort from my knee. It would not be enough to determine me from staying here again.
