Cottage on a gorgeous calm location
Pros: House with a garden overlooking the loch, in a quiet village near Loch Awe. The drive to and from the house is via a one track road with plenty of passing places, which was a gorgeous beginning and end to each day of our week (we encountered birds of prey, deer, …). The house itself is very cosy.

Semi attached cottage in little village
Pros: Great semi attached property with all the amenities you need. Great to have the kitchen, washer and dryer and open fireplace. Nice views from the back yard. Could hear sheep from the hillside which was nice. Good location to get out and see the sights but secluded in a beautiful area.
Cons: Its a 30min drive down a single track road, either way you go. Not bad if you're a confident driver, but can get a bit worrisome when it's rainy. It did have an attached house neighbour on one side so you can hear them a bit.

Relaxing stay in a comfortable well equipped house.
Pros: Good, if remote location, with many walks. Lovely garden with the best sightings ever, of swallows as well as many other birds. Comfortable, well equipped house - big fridge freezer so you can stock up and Morrisons will deliver. I liked the little notes - gave info where you needed it! Friendly heloful owner.
Cons: Long single track road though it is in very good condition with lots of passing places and it does make the location special. You can only see the Loch from the garden and one bedroom. The garden is great to sit in but you need a breeze to stave off the midges - that's the West of Scotland for you. Wi fi would be nice - had to use data, though signal was good.

Pros: Absolutely loved our stay in the cottage. Location is VERY remote but this was what we wanted, peace and quiet, long walks with no one around. Cottage is spacious and clean and well equipped for all your needs. Beautiful garden to sit down with a cup of tea (weather permitting hah). Susan the host was super helpful and very responsive, absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful secluded place. Will definitely be back for another reset from everyday life!

Great location, very comfy house, lovely views
Pros: Location lovely, if you like remote and nature, peace and quiet this is for you. House had everything required for a good stay. Beds very comfortable.
Cons: Little bits of paper everywhere with fading instructions, need typing up and putting in one book for information. Parts of house need some maintenance.

Idyllic sixties cottage with a coal fire and modern electrical appliances. Perfect for couples.
Pros: The position is elevated giving loch views from the garden. The house has a sixties vibe but with mod cons. There are fantastic walks from your doorstep, with wild animals everywhere.
Cons: Sadly it was the worst year for midges in living memory and we were bitten to bits. Take creams, spray, nets etc. This is not in anyone's control but it did affect us.

Pros: Great communication from owner, really tried to make everything good as possible. Great simple accommodation in a quiet setting, great value. Appreciated the Sky TV with movie channels.
Cons: Location is remote (Loch Awe is the longest Loch in Scotland) which is great but be prepared for lots of driving to get to places, which was always made clear to me. Could've happily just stayed locally and had a do little week, but the other half needs to do things.....! ;) Lots to see within an hour's drive. One bedroom upstairs is fairly dark but the other is quite light once the sun is up, could use some lined curtains. We could choose between but might be more awkward if there were lots of you

Beautiful tucked away Cottage
Pros: The cottage was so cosy and the beds were super comfortable. Was beautifully tucked away and the garden is fantastic especially for our dog. Lots of wildlife to see with beautiful birds, rabbits and red squirrels. Was sort of in the middle of going out back towards Loch Lomond, Oban and Lochgilphead. Definitely need a car for going, the road to the cottage is super long but it is worth it.
Cons: Literally the only thing was small issues with cleaning as there was a lot of cobwebs and dead flies/midgies left on the window sills and other areas. However still would 100% return to the cottage and didn’t put me off.

Gute Ausstattung, bequeme Betten. Es hat alles was es braucht.
Cons: Wenn man Attraktionen besuchen will muss man einfach 30 min mehr rechnen weil es so abgelegen ist. Das muss kein Nachteil sein, soll einfach bedacht werden.
