Nice place to stay

Pros: Great place close to a lovely village, providing a great base for exploring and having lots of walks within a good distance. Ben A’an is just 20 mins away and is a gorgeous walk. There were plenty of facilities for cooking (air fryer, microwave, hobs) for being self sufficient.

Cons: Access was through the owner’s property past their very vocal dogs, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you don’t like dogs bear this in mind - it just meant we tended not to leave unless we were going somewhere. Got a little chilly at night but there were extra blankets and radiators to use.

Affordable accommodation with handy kitchen and breakfast supplies.

Pros: Easy to find house and cosy room with to/wifi. Small but well equipped kitchen complete with tea and coffee plus breakfast cereals. Small seating area with table for meals plus outside bench and table in fine weather. Couple of minutes walk from handy local mini market which stocks a good range of foodstuffs.

Cons: The shared bathroom was fine but could be inconvenient if all rooms were full. Our room was next to bathroom/loo so light sleepers maybe disturbed… But the fact it’s shared is clearly stated and reflected in the room cost.

Pros: Warm welcome and great facilities, wrapped up in a great location close but not to close to the crowds at Glencoe. Will use it again if in arsa

Pros: Good bed, silent, clean and easy to approach. Everything as promised and what solo hiker requires. Small breakfast was a pleasant surprise as the village services are limited.

Very friendly and helpful host. Lovely, comfortable room. Great location in Trossachs.

Pros: Self catering kitchen was well equipped for cooking own meals. Room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were great. Huge TV linked up to all the networks. Cuddly German Schnauzers! Warm dressing gowns and duvet. Great location for activities in the Trossachs.
