Beautiful location, good food, warm, well insulated room.

Pros: The scenery. Just beautiful. Very well insulated, warm and cosy building, with controllable heater in the room. Beautiful and peaceful. Looking forward to return and hopefully bring along some friends. Saw some red deer on the drive around the loch.

Cons: The car ferry didn't work and we didn't think to come over on foot. Also, the drive around the loch is very challenging, but we saw deer and ended up liking the journey. It's a single file road with passing places and a 60mph limit, with blind bends, very limited space beside the road and beautiful but challenging features for driving, like rock banks, waterfalls and streams all the way, have to really watch out. Was more enjoyable first thing in the morning than when we arrived and tired. The locals however can drive it fast so have to let them pass.

Lovely place offering good value

Pros: Lovely place, comfortable room, great shower, comfy bed and helpful staff. Offered evening meals which was good, as some distance from other places. Great food.

Cons: Nothing - a lovely bolthole. Check out whether the car ferry's working though. It broke down the day we travelled adding an hour plus on our journey.

Fabulous location, great value for money and tasty food.

Pros: Fantastic location and excellent value for money. Very friendly and welcoming. The Residents' Lounge is something you don't see very often in hotels these days. This one had a huge range of games and a good library of books.

Cons: In the Lounge, suggest add Scrabble to the games. Perhaps more side lights than just the central overhead light - it's cosier
