Really lovely guest house - well looked after and quality bedding
Pros: Lovely fresh bed linen and comfortable bed. Complimentary water and hot chocolate was a really welcome addition
Cons: Liked it all - a small ledge or table near the bed would have been helpful. I was in the single room and had to leave most things in the floor.

Peace in Oban
Pros: I liked, the Hebridean Island themed rooms, the keypad entry, the ample tea and coffee facilities, the mini breakfast bar, and the view. The car parking spaces were outlined and very handy.
Cons: Nothing.

fantastic
Pros: Great location, a short walk to the bars/restaurants and a few minutes walk to mccaigs tower. We were shown to a nice room with great sea views but the host said we could go into a bigger room. The room was bigger with the views just as good. if we return to oban we will definitely be staying here. great clean accommodation with no hassle and very quiet.
Cons: we liked everything.

Excellent accomodation and fairly priced.
Pros: Excellent quality accomodation in a fairly convenient location.
Cons: I wouldn't want to travel there by foot with luggage - it's mountain goat territory. Fine if you drive, like me.

Cosy venue at a bargain price: recommended!
Pros: The Glenroy was ideal for my purpose, staying over before a morning ferry to Lismor. Self check-in worked easily, my room was spot-on and a nice touch lay in the naming of rooms, rather than numbering. I stayed in Ulva; other rooms were named Barra, Islay, Jura etc. I didn't see another soul in the time I was there, but all went smoothly, so that's fine.
Cons: The following was not a problem for me, but it's worth noting if you are likely to be troubled by it. The Glenroy is located on the hill road which winds up to McCaig's Tower. A fair bit of this road has no pavement and one just walks within the stream of any passing cars going up and down. As I say, I'm used to walking on country roads, so this was not a person issue, but you should be aware of it before booking.

Nice place
Pros: Great location, nice clean and comfortable. Good value
Cons: After doing such a good job on the building, I don't know why they scrimped on the bed and pillows. The only thing that let it down.
