Looked after at the Regent

Pros: Very comfortable bed (and we are fussy about this), clean room, nice, helpful and friendly staff (special mention for Stephanie on reception, goes over and above). Excellent location, beautiful views and lovely breakfast but being entirely honest it was a bit cold both mornings. Unusual decor, and comfortable chairs and sofas. We will be back and that says it all.

Cons: The temperature of the breakfast and the tea / coffee, I like this hot. The look of it outside, the retro looks and the colours are not to my taste but that's just cosmetics.

Pros: Hotel was clean and warm. Breakfasts were very good. Hotel in perfect location.

Cons: No complaints whatsoever

Everything you need for a break

Pros: It was the best location .. The view was amazing and center was less than a mile away just walking distance … Restaurants shopping everything near…

Cons: Less availability of parking and rooms should have microwaves…

Short Sea view stay

Pros: Nice sea view. Staff were very friendly and helpful , there’s a bar and restaurant onsite and a pool and golf parking. Easy walk in to town. Tea and coffee making facilities and staff came to our door on the 2nd day and offered more items if needed.

Cons: The first room we were put in was not the same one that we booked. I was travelling with my elderly mum so had deliberately paid extra for a room with a seating area to sit together as she’s not as mobile as she used to be, the room we were given had one chair only and was really small and hard to move around in, normally I would just accept it , but because of my mum I went to the desk and queried it and showed them the pictures of what had been booked and what we had. At first they said it was still a premium room but when I explained about wanting to sit with my mum etc they changed it for us, which I appreciated, but sad and disappointed that I had to raise it. The pool was very cold in the morning, but I guess they are saving on costs.

Perfect for a weekend break.

Pros: Lovely hotel right on the front, our room had stunning views. Secure parking to the rear, staff were very friendly. Enjoyed both the breakfast and the evening meal, would definitely return.

Cons: The heating in our room and in the bar area could have been better.

First time in Oban

Pros: The views from my room were lovely, first time visiting Oban and the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic value for money

Cons: The room could've been cleaner I feel, when I went to pull curtains closed a big cobweb fell down, I got into bed and couldn't stop itching. I couldn't see anything but definitely something wasn't right, bed was comfy though.

Pros: Beautiful location, room was excellent, staff were very friendly

Cons: Having to go home.

The hotel was excellent, clean and warm, and we had an added bonus of fine weather throughout.

Pros: The location of the room with no sea view was what we would expect for the price we paid. It suited us well, was very clean, comfortable, and the en suite etc was perfect. The location of the hotel was lovely with its views to Kerrera and Mull. The cooked traditional Scottish breakfast was alright (adequate). There was an alternative continental breakfast, which looked good. We very much liked the good quality soap, toilet roll, coffee & tea sachets, shortbread, and a box with tissues provided.

Cons: Cooked breakfast being served to us before we had finished eating cereal.

We loved it. Hope to be back.

Pros: Plenty of choice, very tasty products, well presented self service buffet. Only complaint was that food would have been better if it was HOTTER.

Cons: Hotter food and some engagement with staff.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and attentive, making the check in, stay and check out process very pleasant. Jude welcomed me, informed me that my room had been upgraded FOC and was happy to serve me at the bar when it was quiet in the evening. Many thanks!

Cons: No major quibbles at all other than the shower temperature not being quite hot enough in my room
