The Carriage at Creagan

I would have to admit I’m a bit in love with this place.

Pros: The carriage is extra special. Would rather stay here than in any five star hotel. Extremely romantic setting. Lovely views. Private Outside area completes the experience. Everything has been well thought out and great attention to detail. All 3 hosts that we met were delightful. Well worth the relatively long drive from Glasgow. Would highly recommend

Cons: Slight hitch with tv and you could say it’s expensive, however this did not detract from our overall impression and enjoyment.

Fabulous stay at the carriage

Pros: The carriage has been renovated to a high standard, so much thought and attention to detail. Very comfortable and clean Very private garden, outside bath amazing after a day walking. We had great weather. Great welcome basket

Pros: Truly unique accommodation that has been fitted out to a really high standard. Lots of fancy bits but all also really functional! Epic shower, super comfy and cosy bed, great kitchen space. Brilliant area as well with nice food options close by, lovely walking and cycling too. We just had such a lovely lovely time and can't wait to return 😊

Cons: Nothing. I didn't want to leave! It is expensive but it's also actually a big space and the outdoor area is also really lovely. It's an experience 😊

The Carriage - not just for train lovers

Phenomenal

Pros: EVERYTHING!!! We have never stayed anywhere like it. From the minute you open the gate you are welcomed with awe. The owners gave thought of everything and haven't scrimped on a penny. Even the welcome basket is just amazing and so kind. The bed is AMAZING! the duvet covers are luxury. We had just got married and had no sleep for about a week due to planning and this was a welcomed perfect sleep! The best location for our wee minimoon before our big honeymoon. We will definitely be back in the future on some anniversaries. We are both railway workers and it's like visiting a mini museum. Brilliant

Pros: The converted train carriage exceeded all expectations. The welcome basket was amazing and very generous. The check in and check out was effortless

A lovely space to spend a couple of nights

Pros: We loved the carriage, it is beautifully decorated and a lot of thought has gone into its design. The “sitooterie” is perfect for the Scottish changeable weather and the outdoor bath tub is an absolute delight! The welcome basket was a lovely wee surprise and very generous! The kitchen is very well equipped although the coffee machine didn’t work and there was only one sachet of instant so I would definitely bring your own if you really on it to get going in the morning like I do.

Cons: We were slightly let down by a few wee details, there was only one bath towel and the gas in the fire pit ran out very quickly the only time we used it, it was to late to contact anyone and it was our last night, nothing major, just a bit of a shame as we were really enjoying sitting outside.

Pros: Amazing stay in the Carriage at Creagan. Loved every minute of our stay. The outside space was great. Loved the outside bath and sitting toasting marshmallows at the firepit at night with a glass of prosecco from the fantastic welcome basket. The carriage has been restored beautifully. Lots of bespoke hand made woodwork. Don't hesitate if you're looking for something a little different. Book it now.

Pros: This was the most stunning and overall most amazing stay we had .The carriage was made with so much love, you‘ll see and view at all the small details. We felt very welcome and loved the stay!
