Old Tynribbie House - Comfortable Detached House

A wonderful place to stay, in any weather. Loved it and really hope we can return again.

Pros: We came up for a family wedding and had the most wonderful time. Tynribbie House had everything we needed for a lovely family break and more ! Even a little welcome pack of tea, sugar, bottled water and some shortbread. Made the most of its closeness to Oban, Glencoe and Fort William and had a beautiful wander down the cycle track to Castle Stalker too. Honestly I’d go back again tomorrow 😊

Cons: The only really minor thing (and it really wasn’t too much of an issue) was that it was a bit tricky to see well enough to do our jigsaw puzzle on the dining table as the wonderful ceiling had spotlights emphasising the lovely wood and creating a lovely ambient light. We just ended up using a lamp from one of the bedrooms and an extension lead we found in a kitchen cupboard…. Seriously this place had thought of pretty much everything !!

Pros: The house is in a great location, very stylish and extremely well equipped. Angela was brilliant...friendly and helpful. The information she provided before we arrived was second to none. We plan to return!

Cons: We took our dogs and it would have been good if the garden had been fenced off. However this would not put us off staying there again.

Pros: A lovely, well equipped house. We loved our week here and it’s so well positioned for trips around this beautiful part of the world. Angela was great to deal well and left us a whole load of useful information.

Beautiful cottage

Pros: It's a spotless large cottage which is very modern and in a beautiful location. Great kitchen and bathrooms plus lovely views

Peaceful and beautiful

Pros: Very comfortable and spacious for our group. Location is ideal for the Appin, Oban and Fort William area. Beautiful scenery and lots of walking trails.

Very happy stay with plenty of space for 2 couples and a dog.

Pros: Lovely spacious property, fab kitchen and lounge. Close to cycle path.

Cons: Bedrooms on the small side, garden would be better enclosed for children and dogs as so close to busy road. Dirty bbq

Absolutely stunning!!

Pros: We’ve just returned from a 3 night break at Old Tynribbie House. The property is outstanding and a great location for beautiful walks. All rooms were spotlessly clean, bathrooms had great power showers and every utensil you could need in the kitchen. Will definitely be returning. Angela was a fantastic host. Would highly recommend.

Happily rent this property again

Pros: Location perfect for walking in the area. Easy to find and access. Angela was very helpful. Beds comfortable.

Cons: Perhaps the option of a welcome pack (milk, bread etc). Wasn’t an issue for us as we came prepared but might be handy to offer.

Pros: Beautifully designed house, extremely comfortable & well equipped. View from the kitchen of the mountains was wonderful & the patio at the back was an ideal place to chill. Perfectly located for visiting the Oban & Fort William areas & beyond. The information pack was comprehensive & our host Angela was very friendly & helpful.
