Great stay.

Pros: Hotel good, price good, our room was huge and comfortable and recently refurbed, lovely view from room, had a lovely time. very close to everything.

Cons: Bar service. had to wait or go and find someone to serve you.

Fantastic hotel

Ideal location with good food and looked after by excellent staff.

Pros: Good food. Quiet, in the main, apart from neighbor's having work done to their property. Staff were excellent and demonstrated a genuine caring attitude. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Warm and cosy environment.

Cons: The only problem was the noise from a neighbouring property who erecting scaffolding and knocking down walls. It started early each morning disturbing sleep. No blame could be put on the hotel - it being outside their control. Everything other was great.

Great staff and great location.

Pros: Excellent location and views. The staff were excellent and very accommodating of our dog Stanley. The Irish lady (can’t remember her name) who works there was unbelievable at her job and made our stay. Also Christian behind the bar was great.

Cons: Could maybe do with a freshen up.

Pros: Nice location looking over oban bay Superior room 's big and comfy Overall hotel was okay

Cons: Payed £10 for parking bay...but if you move your car someone else takes your space A bit of a nightmare they have to sort that one out

Pros: Lovely hotel food was amazing very good value for money staff were really lovely and friendly would recommend and would stay there again

Pros: Great venue clean staff great. Shame people put lower ratings for looking tired. There is work going on - these old hotels are so expensive to maintain and need to be supported.

Pros: We have stayed at The Graet Western before and always enjoy our stay, we normally pay for the sea view rooms which are extra but the view is well worth it. Good hotel in a good location, on the edge of town so only a short walk and with a few bars and pubs nearbye you cant go wrong. The hotel and staff are as always helpfull and easygoing, a nice place to stay.

Cons: I said this on my last review of The Great Western and I will say the same thing again, the hotel is looking tired, the decorating needs updating as there are walls with patches of wall paper missing in the hallways and the windows in our room had a fair old gap which allowed a draft in. It is a lovely hotel but needs a lick of paint and some TLC
