Pleasant and happy

Pros: Excellent kitchen facilities, nice lounge, comfortable beds, well equipped for charging phones etc

Cons: The key access to the dorm of my room was difficult and I observed other guests had real difficulties. At night getting locked out when going to the toilet was a worry. Though in the end it was fine.

A welcoming haven, great for anyone of any age!

Pros: Cool decor, welcoming atmosphere, comfy bed, great kitchen, great value.

Cons: All was good.

Cons: The mattresses are disintegrating and thus quite uncomfortable - now I can sleep on a bed of rocks but I can imagine how bad it is for others if it was slightly uncomfortable for me. I hope they'll be upgraded for next year.

Hurricane Amy

Pros: The staff were fantastic and very accommodating during Hurricane Amy. Tea and coffee was made available and the curfew was sensible for a range of people. Kyle was truly amazing and I learnt a new game. People from all around the world were there and so ideas of where to visit were freely shared making the experience of travelling even better.

Cons: Nothing really, it's temporary situation in staying at the hostel.

Pros: Friendly staff. Excellent location. Good value for money

Pros: Massive and homey. Lots of facilities. Great warm showers, massive kitchen with every appliance you can think of, and big communal area. The location is perfect 4min walk to the Main Street.

Original hostel experience with lots of recommendations in and around Oban

Pros: I simply loved my stay with Oban Backpackers! There‘s something about it that will give you a proper hostel-experience. The common areas are nice and big, you easily get to talk to travelers from around the world, if you want. Dispite other opinions I personally found the bed quite comfortable. I‘m grateful for the staff, that often tried to include you in conversations to overcome the anonymity that one experiences in many hostels these days. That‘s not a given, so for me that made my stay very special and I really appreciated this!

Cons: The only thing that was missing for me was a possibilty to hang up & dry clothes, after a rainy hike.

Pros: Its perfect for a bed for the night with wonderful staff

Pros: It was best hostel with good facilities and spacious rooms and good people in reception

Good value for money

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. I was booked into a mixed dorm but on arrival they offered me a female dorm which I really appreciated!
