Glencoe Youth Hostel

Set in one of Scotland’s most spectacular and historic glens, not far from Glencoe village, this alpine-style youth hostel offers a range of comfortable accommodation. Guests can choose from cosy solid wood panelled rooms, to larger family rooms and shared accommodation. Amazing location

Pros: As always the facilities were excellent, you can buy alchoholic drinks on an evening from the reception. The location was excellent.

Cons: I find hostels a bit noisy to stay in, as they attract younger people who run excitedly up and down the corridor when you're trying to sleep. This is no reflection on the hostel, just the type of people who stay there.

Pros: Friendly staff, affordable price, location is good that faraway from the village centre, which means quiet and has good views

Cons: A bit away from town, for those who drive, they are fine, but who do not drive, need to walk about 30 mins from Vis stop or village centre

Great youth hostel in a wonderful location.

Pros: We stayed in the pod which was perfect as our dog was with us. The man on reception was very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful/accommodating. Use of the full hostel amenities whilst having a private, quiet space was perfect for us.

Cons: The bed in the pod is a very small double.

Pros: The location and the cabin vibes are lovely, and the hostel has a lot of ammenities (even a drying room).

Cons: It is on the more expensive side for its value. The bathroom had traces of dirt or mould in the venting system. The dishes in the kitchen were dirty.
