Built in 1837 and boasting many of the original period features, Stonefield Castle is an example of Scottish baronial architecture. I would love to go back!!

Pros: The staff were most welcoming. The location is beautiful and the gardens are great for short walks. The hotel itself was delightful and restaurant services were excellent.

Pros: Everything to a high standard, well what I am accustomed, from fantastic view from bedroom to high quality breakfast. Bit above my usual price bracket but otherwise quite superb.

Fantastic hotel in perfect location

Pros: Exceptional staff in all areas. A beautiful room with a view. Everything was very clean and all extras considered. Had a beautiful meal in the bistro and an excellent night's sleep.

Really cool old castle, yet room

Pros: Staff were really friendly and helpful. Restaurant had a nice vibe with the full open view. Would of loved to see what it is like in the summer, Dinner and breakfast was good. Good walks around the property. Very cool old castle yet the rooms were modern and comfortable.

Cons: They were in the middle of refurbishing main rooms, hence why I dropped rating to a 9. Also had to put everything on the room, which is usually fine but nice to pay card at the bar or restaurant. Makes it easier claiming work expenses :)
