Great stay in a fantastic place.

Pros: Love the Colintraive! The location is absolutely stunning, the staff are friendly and the food is good. This is the third or fourth time staying over there and it never gets tired.

Cons: This time around, the food was a little tired - we ate towards the end of the night and you could tell. It wasn't awful by any means, but by the C's usual standards it felt a bit like it had been hanging around for a while. Otherwise, no problems at all.

Hone away from home with fabulous food

Pros: Lovely comfortable small in where you are made to feel extremely welcome and nothing is too much trouble. You go for the food and the views, both are exceptional. The menu has something for everyone whilst being compact, the quality of the produce is superb, and worth the wait. Great wine list too. Great night’s sleep. Beautiful sunsets or a rainbow - the weather is not within the owners’ control!

Cons: Nothing!

Fabulous and a yearly treat as a result

Pros: First class food from Chef/Proprietor's team. Excellent, cheerful staff. Cask ale from Fyne Ales brewery in superb condition. Imaginative wine list. Jolly locals made us feel most welcome. Colintraive's community is special and its EV chargers at their Heritage Centre are a great facility (once you get the hang of the Pod Point payment system).

Cons: Weather on our second day!

First class

Pros: The option of Marmite sealed the deal for me. Also, the massive cafetière of Argyll Roasters coffee was exceptional. Usually, for something this size the coffee is weak and dreadful but I’m pleased to share that it was thick and strong.

A special place, thoughtful and considered food and a warm and homely ambience.

Pros: It's a really special place. From the moment we walked in it was clear that there was a carefully considered and cultivated atmosphere - the staff were warm and friendly and the ambience was beautifully curated. The food (dinner and breakfast) was outstanding and sophisticated without losing connection to the location or being overly experimental. Just really thoughtful and tasty food. The staff were also really friendly, we ended up chatting with the owner at the bar after our meal and enjoyed being amongst the locals in the pub too! The rooms are really comfortable and well stocked. It came with all the facilities you need for a comfortable and generous stay, and it was clean. Homemade shortbread was a welcome touch too!
