Pros: the staff (especially Coco) went the extra mile to meet our needs

Pros: A very Warm Welcome and general Hospitality. Especially the Staff and particularly the exceptional Co Co with her generosity and iregional nsightfulness. Just Unbeatable. Surely recommended

Cons: The facct that we had only one overnight to stay before leaving back

Fabulous, and makes you so welcome.

Pros: Absolutely fantastic stay, incredible staff (thank-you Coco!!). Free upgrade to a double room with a sea view. Had a fantastic night in the hotel pub, I was made so welcome by the locals, and as a female solo traveller that made my trip as well (thank you Dodds!). Some lovely restaurants in walking distance, and a great base for seeing the island.

Cons: Nothing. This is not a fancy, modern hotel. It is a cosy, privately owned, local institution. Does it have floral curtains- yes. Does it have some interesting decor - yes. But it is so in-keeping with the island and as such makes it a great place.

Pros: Really welcoming and helpful staff. Great location

Pros: The cleanliness was the best I've ever seen in any accommodation stayed at, please tell your housekeeper it beats anywhere! Lindsey, on a morning, looked after us fantastically. Nothing was too much trouble with a lovely morning chat. Caroline on check in..... after such a stressful journey, we couldnt have wished for anything better, and of course Koko, great customer service, looks after everyone. 100% recommend. Would love to go back if time allows. Sorry forgot the breakfast....the finest mushrooms at breakfast, I've ever tasted

Cons: Dont think there is anything we could say we didn't like.

Pros: Freshly cooked breakfast was really nice. Room a decent size, and comfortable. The location to work location was ideal. And the adjacent bar was nice and friendly also.

Cons: Fan running after using the bathroom... and the wind blowing through vents etc during the night. A little tired after the first night.

Best holiday I've ever had. The care and attention and help from all the staff was brilliant

Pros: Room (I got free upgrade from single to super-king sized bedroom with a sea view. Breakfast - they had everything. Location can't be bettered if you want to visit Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg :-)

Cons: The ONLY thing was that was nowhere to put your shampoo bottle while having a shower - told them and they said they are on their way :-)

If I come back to Islay then I’ll stay here.

Pros: Excellent establishment and an enjoyable stay. Freshly cooked breakfast.

Cons: Nothing. Room was upgraded.

Great stay despite a couple of issues

Pros: Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived early evening after being delayed and the lady on reception who's name I have unfortunately forgotten was extremely helpful with recommendations on locations for dinner and even came outside in very poor weather to provide me with directions.

Cons: The tv in my room didn't work as it stated that no channels were available and despite scanning for channels none were found. I had to run the shower for nearly 5 minutes before the water was hot even after turning the dial all the way around.

Wonderful stay in Islay

Pros: Very charming B&B type small hotel with full of characters. We stayed for 3 nights in early December 2025. I enjoyed freshly made breakfast each day. KOKO was very accommodating and she upgraded my room. I enjoyed my cosy double bedroom with a bathtub. I had a fantastic time in Islay!

Cons: I did not find anything that I did not like about the hotel. Just perfect!
