OYO Gin House Hotel

Great stay great price

Pros: Girl on reception was very helpful and friendly it was close to town centre, bus and train station

Cons: There was a light in room to show exit above door no way to switch it off never had this in a hotel room before seen them in corridors for emergency didnt bother me much but could make it hard to get to sleep

Pros: The staff were all welcoming and friendly, anything I needed help with they were there. Beautiful kind people. Thank you for having me.

Good time down the water

A warm cosy bed for the night.

Pros: Room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It was nice and warm on a very cold night because the radiators were on all the time. This was much appreciated, as not all hotels do that. Cosy bed. Slept well. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of tea sugar and milk supplied with the teamaking items, and the good quality biscuits . I had a continental breakfast, croissants and pain au chocolate, which was included in the price. I was very impressed by the extensive menu for cooked breakfasts. Muffin with smoked salmon and poached egg sounded very upmarket, but unfortunately I had to leave early . Wonderful value for the price and I have already recommended the Gin House to several people.

Pros: Great location for our needs. Staff were super helpful and very accommodating. Rooms lovely and clean and beds comfortable.

Cons: The fire exit lights in the bedrooms are super bright and I know they're doing refurbishments as they are new hosts to this hotel and we did mention this to them so hopefully they address this because it did cause disturbed sleep.

Liked the area.

Pros: Central to Greenock town centre, can walk there in minutes. My sister and I usually stay at the premier inn, however it was fully booked. What can we say , lucky us! Gin House has a seated area and a bar so there was always somewhere to sit other than the room. Staff were super friendly as were the people staying there. No one passed without speaking. Rooms were clean, tidy. There was tea, coffee, and biscuits. Bathroom had shampoo, shower gel etc. Can I also say the rooms were warm ☺️. Apparently this is a budget hotel but I couldn’t have asked for more. It was way better than a lot of the well known hotels. Best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Unsure if Gin House lets staff know but big thanks to Kiara who booked us in and made us feel more than welcome. She took time to chat to us and was absolutely lovely. Also, Janice from house keeping. Super friendly and amazing banter. Thank you all ❤️ .

Pros: Got the family room which was great with plenty of room... had a meal which was lovely and very cheap.staff were all lovely.

Pros: The location was really good and the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble the first night I was there I did not sleep as the outside flap on the ventilator in the bathroom was banging all night and as soon as I said to reception they very kindly moved me to another room I would definitely stay there again

Comfortable stay.

Pros: Location brilliant as going to Brecon Theatre, friendly staff. Hotel was clean but tired looking in areas but some work being carried out, very reasonably priced for food and drinks.

Cons: Tired in certain areas.
