Pros: Beds were comfortable enough. Staff were nice. Breakfast was decent.

Cons: Check out was 11 which is normal but at exactly 11am they sounded an alarm in the room which was uncalled for. The fact that we paid an extra 60 pound to get into the room early was fine but to not even get 5 mins leeway with checkout was a bit off.

Lovely place

Pros: Centrally located in a nice area, beautiful building with period features. Bathrroom very modern with great shower and bath. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: The radiator in the room was heating the room ok but we wondered if it would be sufficiently warm on a colder night.

Lovely hotel in great location

Pros: Great location for the town centre, lovely friendly staff , comfortable room. Food is very good had dinner in the 1808 bar. Lots of choice at breakfast.

Cons: Nothing, 2nd stay here and will definitely be back again when visiting the family.

excellent which is why we always stay, i love the friendliness of the staff.

Pros: the rooms where warm and comfortable i liked the fact that some hotels still provide nice biscuits and hot chocolate. the staff where very helpful even after I forgot to take some belongings.

Cons: menu was a little limited.

Great location, great service - worth a stay if you’re in that part of the world

Pros: Great check in, staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. We ate in the bar and food was very good and reasonably priced. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast has plenty of choice for everyone.

Cons: This was not an issue for us but worth noting there is no lift to the upper floors in the main building so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues.
