Clean budget hotel and staff more than make up for anything else you get at other hotels

Pros: It was clean functional and represented fair value for money . Staff responded to requests like late check in and hair dryer promptly via email messaging . Requested a quiet part of the hotel which they accommodated. The staff made it a smooth experience

Cons: Advertised food but none on the property. Didn’t matter much as we ate out but we could have had the odd breakfast

Nice comfortable stay

Pros: The room was clean and comfy. We really enjoyed staying at the Helix Hotel.

Very good value for money and really close to where I needed to be.

Lovely stay

Pros: Staff were excellent - willing to help (offered use of washing machine) and give suggestions on local spots to eat. Room was comfy and great value for money. Easy to get about the building (clear signage).

Pros: The friendliest of staff, the location was perfect, the bed linen was very clean and the shower was excellent.

Cons: The fact there was no food available was a disappointment. I booked thinking breakfast was included in the price as we were travelling from the north for a funeral that was at 10am. So we had to go out early and find food before we set off to the funeral. Eateries were quite close by, but having to go out, we found an inconvenience. The hotel staff we met were exceptional, helpful, and friendly

Cons: Very basic. Some facilities not available. Could do with an upgrade. Communal areas a bit grubby.

Pros: Very clean room, but the hotel itself was a little tired and in need of repairs, the bathroom.fan didn't work so.i was conscious of setting off the fire alarm when using the shower, the bathroom door latch was broken and couldn't keep.the door shut, there were wooden windows in the room and the seagulls wake you very early as they are so loud, the room had no fan and was really warm so you had to have the window open, the window has a latch to stop it opening much wider than approx 80mm, in the event of a fire you would not have that option, the bed was very comfortable and the mattress was clean, the bedding was bright white sheets, very clean, bathroom and fittings in the bathroom eg shower sink etc was clean and well presented, I would stay here again but at least I'm aware of where I'm staying

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect from the hotel itself to the workers.

Pros: I liked the staff very much, the made us feel really welcome. Sort of home from home.
