The Guest Wing

Just what we needed for our weekend fishing loch Fad about one mile easy walk to town with pubs shops and restaurants .

Pros: Self contained with everything we could possibly need in an excellent peaceful location.

Pros: One of the nicest and cleanest properties we've stayed in on the island. Well equipped, great location, stunning view and lots of space. Met by the owners son, very welcoming and helpful. Would strongly recommend this property.

Cons: Absolutely nothing to complain about, if we could have, we would have stayed longer.

Can't wait to comeback next year for our summer break

Pros: Having previously stayed at The Guest Wing we were a returning customer and will be continuing to return in future. The property is ideally located and set back from the road. Nice and quiet with off-road parking. Plenty of space inside with a kitchen diner and sitting area.

A cosy stay on the beautiful Isle of Bute

Pros: We had a great time staying at the Guest Wing, there were 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 children and we were all well catered for. The host was very friendly and helpful and the location was ideal for exploring the island while staying in a quiet location. The house is pretty big while being cosy at the same time and the garden with beach and garden toys was well used.

Cons: The beds weren't the most comfortable, particularly the double bed in the bedroom downstairs, which also suffered quite badly from damp, the smell was pretty bad. There was a plug-in room freshener, however, the smell of that was too overwhelming for a bedroom. Not sure what can be done about that given the age of the property but thought it fair to mention it.

Pros: Lovely large house with loads of room, everything that you need was there for you, the extra little touches (biscuits, milk, flowers ect), comfortable beds, great outdoor space for you to use. Asked owner to arrange balloon & prosecco for my mums birthday which she was more than happy to do.

Pros: Really can't fault, lovely place, everything we needed and the host added lots of thoughtful wee touches like fresh flowers, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee and a big platter of chocolate biscuits! Very kind and thoughtful and felt very welcomed. Ty 😊

Pros: Perfect location, plenty of room, beautiful views literally on your doorstep. Carolynn the owner, was so helpful & obliging & made us feel so welcome. Couldn’t have asked for more, Will definitely stay there again.
