Excellent affordable Edinburgh option

Pros: It was a very comfortable, amply spacious, and very affordable option. The hosts were extremely flexible and kind about an unforeseen change of plan we had to make. Bottles of free water in the fridge were a very nice touch and there was an excellent, novel Indian eatery almost near door which we really enjoyed.

Pros: The room was small, but functional. We added an extra bed without further cost and we really appreciated the host's availability to make this change even after the booking was confirmed already. The beds were comfortable enough, and the room was warm and cosy. Furthermore, the host left us some candy in the common room for the New Year's Eve and it was really cute of them.

Cons: We found some trash from the previous guests in one of the drawers.

Pros: Basic but very clean room with a good bed, walking distance from the very centre.

Pros: The flat location is great. About 10-15 min walking everything is available (shops, citycenter).

Cons: We forget the british type electirc plug. But there are lot of shop where you can buy a charger adapter. Maybe it would be great to be one piece of plug adapter at the flat.

Pros: Good price, decent location for a home base while exploring Edinburgh

Pros: Everything was great! Lovely owner and on the last day we could leave our luggage until the end of the day. She also give as some useful tips for our trip. There was also unlimited bottle water in fridge. In the shared area we could use such a things as a microwave or an airfryer. Our room had tea, coffee and electric kettle. View from window was amazing! In our room bathroom was inside.

A quiet room in a Georgian townhouse situated at walking distance from the city centre

Pros: The place was ideally situated, you could walk to the center of the city in only 20 minutes or so - or take the bus and be there in 10 minutes. Lots of great places to eat in the neighbourhood, too! I especially recommend The Treehouse Café for breakfast and Bread Meats Bread for dinner! But despite the proximity to the city centre and restaurants, we could enjoy the quiet at night.

Cons: We had a private bathroom, which is great, but it was located at the end of the hall and you could only close it on the inside. Therefore, we felt a little uncomfortable to leave our things inside, or even to use it in the morning while we were still dressed in our pyjamas!

A pleasant place to stay

Pros: That the owner ? Sorted out the initial problem initially and finally drove me to the station to travel on.

Cons: The muddle that had the address 19 instead of 15 Gilmore Place. Sorted out by a tourist guide who overheard the difficulty I was in.

Greatl location

Pros: Great location for a short visit, clean, quiet, comfy beds and excellent communication with the host. Great value! Would definitely recommend.

Pros: A really nice little flat in a nice area with what is needed. They offered free bottled water and there's a communal fridge which is quite nice. The hosts were really nice.

Cons: The double bed was a little small. We had some issues with the lock, but it was fixed. Hand soap was missing.
