Menzies Apartments

Absolutely perfect from start to finish.

Pros: The apartment was situated in a really good place with the grassmarket, the castle and victoria street with many things Harry Potter a short walk away (around 15min) and the meadow with it’s beautiful green spaces basically around the corner. It was also surrounded by restaurants with the closest being right under the apartment. We also found Scott co-op close by to buy breakfast, sun screen, deodorant and other necessities to use in the apartment.

Cons: We only had 1 set of keys which made it a bit challenging to plan the day when a few people played golf and others wanted to see the sights. But that’s the only negative aspect about this apartment.

Fair

Pros: Properly is quite bright and spacious and close to shops which I like.

Cons: Property needs a deep cleaning especially inside microwave. Bathroom kitchen , walls and rugs need a professional cleaning. And there was no oven toaster and no bathroom rugs.

Cozy! You feel at home.

Pros: Good location, with restaurants, cafes and supermarkets close to the accommodation.

Cons: Only the place in front is under construction, so it became a little noisy. But I believe it will be temporary.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner. Large flat: two bedrooms, kitchen (with basic appliances), dining room, bathroom, hallway. In addition to the British also USB sockets. Very comfortable beds, clean, possibility to leave luggage after check-out. Very good location - walking distance from the city center, nearby grocery shops open until late at night. Warm enough (the owner showed us how to adjust the heating to our own needs), only slight problem with the temperature in the bathroom (due to the large, not very airtight windows)

Cons: Only very small remarks: it should be noted that it is a stylish old house - so there is no lift and luggage must be brought to the second floor. The kitchen has basic equipment - the most necessary appliances are there, but there is no toaster, for example. For example, there is no dishwashing liquid (thanks to the comments of previous guests, we knew about it and supplied it in advance) or paper towels. There are no hangers in the bathroom (but this is a fairly common shortcoming). The bedside lamps did not shine or gave very moderate light.

Our stay was perfect, very central and close to all amenities and the attractions

Pros: Clean , rooms lovely and spacious, nice little kitchen and living area, bathroom clean and no problems

Cons: I think the entrance area could do with a little fresh paint for first appearances, as it’s very run down looking, and I didn’t know what to expect from the apartment after seeing the entrance, but we were pleasantly surprised

Very good accommodation,we shall come back.

Pros: It was a very large apartment and the kitchen was well furnished.The beds were very comfortable and the bedding very clean.

Cons: The tv cable didn t work and we couldn t connect to the wi-fi.

Pros: The location- very convenient place to look for food, shopping and walking distance to Edinburgh Castle etc. friendly & nice host, the cosy apartment. The host came all the way to help us to book/get grab/transport to the airport. Since we have problem with our Grab apps.

Cons: The walk- up stairs. Only when you carry big luggage...but we managed. Should have expected that since it is in historical/\

Pros: Hosts were very nice and extremely welcoming. Although we arrived late for check-in, Mr Hazim was kind and understanding. He was also very helpful post check-out where he made sure our stuff were kept safe by the time we had to leave for the train. Many thanks to Mr Hazim

Excellent

Pros: Its very centrally located, lots to do around. The building is old but the flat is refurbished and gives a nice antique feeling. The host is a reallyyy nice, helpful and a kind man. The flat is really spacious, felt just like home.
