An old castle perched on the side of the Ochils - an interesting stay

Pros: The hotel is an attractive old castle with a great view towards Stirling, so is an interesting place to stay. The room was warm and comfortable.

Cons: The dinner menu was a little limited, but it was out of season.

Pros: Our room was very big and spotlessly clean. . The bathroom is also very big with plenty of hot water and clean fluffy towels. The breakfast was good and freshly cooked to order. There was a good choice of cereals, toast and drinks.

Cons: The settees and chair are a little worse for wear and could do with replacing or recovering. The restaurant wasn't open. We had to go out foe our evening meal.

A nice stay

Pros: Good food, nice staff, good view and a bit of character.

Cons: Further outside Sterling than anticipated with not much around. Rooms are a little tired but did the job, and clean.

An Enchanting Castle

Pros: Such an enchanting building with amazing rooms with in keeping to the place. The owner and staff were so friendly and nice. I would recommend anyone stay here

Pros: The room was very nice with a good sized and comfortable bed. There was a pleasant restaurant. The food was good, though with a rather limited range of choice for vegetarians in the evening. The breakfast was very tasty.

Cons: The lack of elevators makes it difficult for people with disabilities. Thought the sitting room was very cosy, though it would have been just wonderful with an open fire!
