Quay Cottage

Extremely comfortable home with excellent views

Pros: Very well appointed and superb location. A real home from home feel

Cons: WiFi does not reach the bedroom

Pros: Great location. Free parking was available on the quiet road outside. Some stone steps.

Brilliant stay in a beautiful cottage

Pros: Quay Cottage had everything we could've asked for, along with incredible views. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of space for three/four adults to stay. The double bed was really comfortable, and the single ones were fine for an adult. Hugely impressed and we will definitely consider booking again if we are back in Cramond!

Lovely cottage with great views in a good location

Pros: Very well equipped and clean cottage with lovely views and easy access to the quayside. Convenient for Edinburgh but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing

Cons: It was a bit cold on arrival and when the central heating wasn't on.

Had a nice stay, but the bed and shower were a deal breaker for us.

Pros: Cosy little apartment, great location and well appointed. Had a nice vibe.

Cons: The twin beds were awful cheap clanky things and very small and uncomfortable. The shower had terrible water pressure, may be solved with a better showerhead and considering the bathroom had just been redone and was lovely and spacious the shower cabinet door access right next to the loo was a bit bonkers!

Lovely place and would book again

Pros: Location is beautiful. Lots of character. Quiet retreat.

Cons: Heating we didn't understand how to use so was a little cold on the night

Lovely cottage, breathtaking views. We would consider returning but in the summer!

Pros: From reading the guest book, Quay Cottage has been a successful and popular holiday let for many years and we could see why. It would be difficult to beat the views and the cottage itself was very well kitted out. We especially appreciated the gas fire which added comfort to evenings in the lounge.

Cons: The only thing we really struggled with, me being in my 60s and in poor health and visiting in March, was the heating thermostat being set at 15 degrees and not being able to alter it. Morning showers were uncomfortable, not the shower itself which was great, the getting out and dressed! We understand that energy costs are exorbitant but wouldn't have minded the option of paying a bit extra for comfort.
