Would stay here again. Small, lovely hotel. Great value. Great breakfast.

Pros: The room was lovely, clean and modern. We had a gorgeous view from the front of the property overlooking the Loch. The price was fantastic! For three nights it cost just over £200 for a double room for B&B. Great value

Comfort and traditional hotel with a warm welcome

Pros: The manager receptionist barstaff and breakfast server (It was low season) was very friendly, hospitable and informative. The lounge had a roaring fire and comfortable seating. Breakfast was very good ( Full Scottish) and our bedroom ( room 1) had an excellent view of the loch.

One word ... Fabulous

Pros: Gorgeous spacious room, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The bed linen was super comfy as was the bed. We also had a large balcony with a view to the hills at the back of the hotel. Location is fab with beautiful views across the loch from the breakfast room and lounge. We were delighted to see snow on the hills across the loch on our first morning. Katie, the Manager, is very professional, knowledgable and accomodating while being very efficient but friendly. Her team in the breakfast room were fab too.

Pros: Views from rooms were stunning. Staff were lovely . Close to the fabulous stalker castle

Pros: The Hotel,exceeded our expectations in every respect.It truly is a hidden jem .In terms of location,cleanliness.friendly staff and most of all value for money.

Cons: Nothing.

The place my parents loved in the sixties and seventies retains all its magic.

Pros: It is an old hotel in a superb location. Run as b/b over winter months it was quiet and comfortable….an ideal place for banishing the winter blues. Please dont change it!

Great value hotel with lots of potential in a fabulous location

Pros: The room was spacious, had a great loch view and a very comfortable king size bed. The bath was a compact one and the over bath shower was a little low if you are above 1.75m tall. Breakfast was very good with excellent service from a very friendly and hard-working young woman. The only minor criticism was that the smoked salmon was a little too thickly cut. The Scottish cooked breakfast was excellent and overall the food was of good quality and plentiful. Low season rates were excellent value.

Cons: It would have been good to have a bar service in the early evening but as it was low season the bar / restaurant was closed. Perhaps the hotel could consider having a small honesty bar and the fire lit in the sitting room during the off-season. Our room was a little tired and could use a refresh, e.g., one bedside drawer unit was broken and there were some damp stains on the carpet by the radiator. The dog rate of £30 per stay seemed a little steep.

Pros: Great welcome & service from Katie ? Lovely warm room with great view of the sea. Exceptionally quiet.

Cons: Dust on surfaces of room and decor a little tired and dated.
