Fantastic stay, would definitely return

Pros: The location, lodge, hot tub and facilities were all great. Kitchen had all equipment needed to cook/prep food and lodge was lovely and warm. Log burner and hot tub were fab.

Cons: Nothing was bad, would have been good if matches were in lodge to light fire but got some for free at reception so no dramas. Some of the crockery needed a quick clean before use but again but I'm being picky now!

Absolutely fantastic.

Pros: We didn't have food because the kitchen was being refurbished. But there was cold food hot and cold drinks and wine, larger ect. The staff were lovely very pleasant people who would do anything for you, and recommend places to go to. The Lodge was equipped with everything towels, all kitchen appliances and the hottub is fantastic it's was left switched on the 3 nights we were there so just jumped in whenever. The only thing we would do different the next time (definitely going back) is to take shorts and t-shirt for chilling on a night time because the heating is absolutely great being late November we took joggers but couldn't wear them it was to hot even though we did turned of several heaters. Just to say anyone with kids there is a Safari Park just down the road. A fantastic stay all round.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike.

Pros: The hot tub was great. The cabin was really dog-friendly too.

Cons: There was a problem with the TV and Wifi. We were there just after the storm. Anyway, it didnt get fixed during our stay.

Lovely break, I would definitely book a Forrest lodge resort again.

Pros: The lodge was big, modern and with a well equipped kitchen, bed in main bedroom was comfortable and lodge was very clean, no complaints there. The on-site retreat served lovely food, snacks, coffees etc and all the staff we met were lovely.

Cons: We stayed in lodge number 3 which wasn’t the best location, we had a couple of lodges in front of us which kind of restricted our view, I would also have preferred a bit of screening around the hot tub area for privacy as although it was quiet we did have a pathway next to our lodge that people walked past on. Having walked around the resort there were lodges much better located either next to the Loch or in a more elevated position but overall I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had an enjoyable long birthday weekend in a lovely setting with comfortable cabins.

Pros: Loved the spaciousness of the wheelchair accessible cabin. Beds were comfy and everything there that you needed for cooking and eating in the cabin.

Cons: Staff could do with some training on what exactly is available and what has to be paid for. For example:- I received a telephone call on 21st July after making my booking. The call from 0333 011 0495 lasted 10 mins and 58 seconds at 17:03. On that call I was advised of different things I would need to know. One thing in particular was that although there were towels and dressing gowns supplied for the hot tub for one of our cabins, the wheelchair accessible cabin was not supplied but we could purchase packages for each guest if required. We decided to bring our own with us. When we got there, we discovered that they had only supplied towels and dressing gowns for two of the guests from the other cabin so four people had to do without. If these calls are recorded, the call should be listened to. Had this been explained, the other four would have brought their own. On the Saturday, my husband went to the hub to book some activities for our two little grandchildren. He booked the nature trail with the forest ranger and the pottery painting as he understood from what he was told that this went together and was a cost of £20 each child. He booked for the two but when they went to do the pottery painting, was told this was an extra cost and not included. It is a bit disappointing when the staff do not appear to fully knowledgeable on their products. Had a slight problem with the freezer compartment and could not get the door shut for all the frost that had built up inside the compartment.
