A peaceful and restful week. Loved it!
Pros: Brendon met us at the property and made sure we were aware of the information we needed for the stay. The property is on the Old Drove Road footpath so walks with our dogs (most welcome) were easily accessible. We did a 3 hour walk to Peebles and got the bus back to Eddlestone which was a great day out. The snow added to the atmosphere and sense of peace that the property offers. The log fire made the evenings really snug. We very much appreciated Brendon's attentiveness and have already booked our next visit in May. Can't wait to be in this amazing property again. Thank you Brendon.
Cons: Wasn't anything we didn't like but a map of the area would have been a bonus. I guess these go missing quite a lot!

Pros: Simply everything about this beautiful cottage was perfect. It is remote and allows you to feel a million miles from anywhere, yet only 20 minutes from Peebles which has all the facilities you could ask for. Surrounded by fields, trees, birds and great walks it is the perfect getaway into the countryside. The cottage itself is so well equipped with everything you could need, and so thoughtfully decorated. The log burner was easy to set and use and made the nights cosy and very warm! The gardens were so well kept and the views incredible. The host was on hand (via phone) if we had any questions and was very helpful. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back to stay again.

A lovely adventure off-grid with loads of space to relax and roam around. Refreshing!
Pros: The location was stunning! It was very warm and inviting, very nicely updated despite being away from the main roads. We loved the beautiful decor and the fireplace was easy to use and well stocked. The host was friendly and helpful but gave us plenty of space. Perfect little getaway
Cons: We would have liked to have met the cows! Really though we had no complaints, the place was lovely and even better than we hoped for. The track on the way in may be off-putting for some but we actually loved the isolation of it and had no issues in our small car.

All in all, loved it! Just a few minor improvements and it would be perfect!
Pros: Style of property. Amazing views! Being away from town/village. Peace and quiet. Dogs welcome.
Cons: Sofa uncomfortable. Would have liked a proper shower to avoid too much water mess in the bathroom. Limited cooking equipment, which is needed when cooking is essential due to location (which is exactly what we wanted!) Broken kitchen tap was awkward!

Brilliant, Pinterest worthy place!
Pros: The property was absolutely beautiful - it is like walking into a Pinterest board. The details, the colours, the decor - *chefs kiss* It is located very rural, but if you read before and have the right car, it’s no problem at all. You get used to it quickly and it is in a beautiful setting. It is in the middle of nowhere, but so peaceful and quiet. The wind and rain made it feel cosy, whilst the sun just made everything feel so green. Close to some lovely walks, Edinburgh was only 40 mins away for us, Peebles was close by and gorgeous. WiFi works well. Bed is super comfortable, with good quality pillows. Makes a big difference - slept so well.
Cons: Nothing - it was lovely!

A hidden gem for the ultimate retreat.
Pros: I loved how cozy and inviting the cottage felt. It had all the amenities we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable bedrooms. The décor was charming, with a mix of modern touches and rustic details that made it feel like a home away from home. Plus, the location was fantastic, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature.
Cons: The only minor downside was the track leading to the cottage, which was a bit bumpy and hard to access. However, this didn’t take away from the overall experience, and it’s really just part of the charm of being in such a secluded, peaceful location. Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike about this wonderful property.
