We had a wonderful stay in Barns Library. Very homely and close to fantastic walk along the river Tweed to Peebles. Very

Pros: Quirky. Comfy beds. Dark bedrooms to aid sleep. Lots of books to browse. Very quiet. Nice private area to sit out and read. Felt safe.

Cons: Perhaps a little better light needed in living area

Peace & Quiet

Pros: Nice & quiet location away from the hustle & bustle, fridge full of essentials like milk, butter, jam also bread & fruit, lovely roll top bath with hot water all day long.

Cons: Carnt really think of anything that I didn’t like.

Peaceful lovation, charming little house

Pros: Set in beautiful countryside with walks to the Tweed River and easy car or cycle into Peebles. The Barns Library had s wonderful selection of books to dip into. Full of chatacter . Loved the private garden too.

Cons: No hairdryer on site.

Pros: Well designed and considered with good quality, comfortable furnishings. Brilliant selection of books, and subscription TV services (eg Apple) on the Smart TV. Good quality coffee was much appreciated. The estate is beautiful, and just 10 minutes drive from Peebles which has everything you need for food shopping as well as some nice cafes. As an FYI for anyone who likes to know these things, the 4 poster bed has a very hard mattress and the twin beds are soft.

Cons: Some small maintenance issues - 2 bulbs were out, a tap was wonky, a radiator was knocking and we had to screw the handle back on a saucepan to use it. There is construction work currently going on in the courtyard.

Peaceful luxury stay away from it all

Pros: The property was exactly as described in the photos. I travelled with my 80 year old mother. She loved the comfortable four poster bed and the en-suite bathroom. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and cozy evenings in beside the fire. It was very warm in the property. The added extras were plentiful - from bath and shower toiletries to kitchen food essentials. There was enough food provided to make breakfast which we weren’t expecting.

Cons: Nothing at all within the property, but a slightly earlier check in and later out would have been preferred, especially on a short stay.

Lovely place to stay

Pros: Excellent place to stay. Cosy, comfortable lounge with wood burning stove (logs supplied). Good sized table suitable for eating together and playing games. Nice bathrooms, one with roll top bath, toiletries supplied. Kitchen is small but well equipped and has a full sized fridge/freezer. We appreciated the kind gestures such as the welcome pack and Christmas tree in the lounge. Walks from the house along the Rover Tweed. Short car journey to Peebles which has lots of independent shops and cafes.

Lovely, interesting and comfortable location

Pros: Location, refurbishment, furniture and books. Also the fact that some food supplies were included

Cons: The second bedroom was intended for two children but we were four adults. The single beds were very comfortable but there was no dressing table, mirror or space for makeup

The Tweed Life

Pros: We liked the whole thing .... it was like stepping back in time. Very relaxing and great quality of furniture and fittings. Appreciated the milk, bread etc on arrival. Beautiful gardens to relaxing in and dog friendly. Great 4 poster bed and roll top bath. Very peaceful and at one with nature. Reading in the library very relaxing.

Cons: Would appreciate a non slip mat in the shower ... especially for older relatives.

A very restful place, we all had a lovely time celebrating my birthday as a family.

Pros: The lovely surroundings, access to the garden, the general area with its walks. The living room/dining room were excellent for our requirements. Thank you for the victuals left for our arrival, most welcome.

Cons: There is nothing that I can say that I didn't like.

Pros: Beautiful remove location near Peebles. Historic. Good facilities. Nice christmas decoration to make us feel right at home.

Cons: Hard to find location but with the instruction delivered by the owner you cannot go wrong.
