Warm, friendly and homely

Pros: Quaint and quirky. Lady who owns hotel is lovely and went out her way to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was set up with real fire on. Selection of continental and cooked breakfast. Fresh fruit and coffee.

Cons: If you only like brand new sterile hotels then this one’s not for you

Pros: Location was ideal as I visited family whilst there. Rooms were beautiful and my 2 friends and I all thought we had stepped into a film set. Our host was lovely and really enjoyed meeting her, she made you feel very welcome. Left with a very full tummy after a lovely breakfast. Would recommend to family and friends.

I regularly visit Helensburgh for family reasons and this is the best place I've stayed.

Pros: It was very quiet and relaxed. I slept incredibly well because of the quietness, even though it was windy outside. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. I asked for vegetarian, preferably vegan and the host catered for me with vegan sausages, mushrooms and beans. There was also a lovely fire to eat in front of.

Cons: The bathroom wasn't en-suite but this wasn't an issue for me.

Spacious, Comfortable, and Truly Welcoming

Pros: A real gem of a guest house! Spacious room, private sitting room and bathroom, all perfectly equipped – even robes. The host is incredibly kind and makes you feel at home, with cozy fires lit and a generous breakfast full of fresh fruit. Parking is free and right outside. I only stayed one night but would happily return for a week!

Wonderful

Pros: Loved the Guest House, the owner was lovely. Breakfast was delicious so many choices from continental to full cooked breakfast. The room was spotless and comfortable. The towels were fantastic quality.

Cons: Nothing negative to say. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely go back.

A quirky, interesting property and a lovely host

Pros: Interesting, quirky property. The owner provided lots of great touches, so we had everything we could possibly need. She drove us to the station to catch our train as there were no taxis available. There was a wash basin in the bedroom.

Cons: The toilet and shower room was across the hall, not ensuite.

Made very welcome arrived to a glowing fire which was great after a long cold journey
