Pros: Property was fantastic, room was lovely with the sea view and chairs beside the window. Bed was very comfortable. Toilet was a little on the small side but that wasn’t too much of a problem. Whole building was absolutely amazing.

Ane excellent stay and would recommend it to friends/family.

Pros: The breakfast was delicious and with great portions . Lorna and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The ensuite shower room/toilet was on the small side.

A relaxing autumn break on beautiful Bute.

Pros: Very warm welcome. Wonderful location with magnificent sea view from the room. A short walk into the centre of town and a short drive to the ferry. Very good breakfast with excellent choice of cereals, cooked items etc. A very comfortable bed.

Cons: It was difficult to get into the window side of the bed due to the position of an armchair and the chair was very heavy to move, but this is a minor point.

Pros: The landlady was lovely, breakfast was brill. Friendly atmosphere and everyone at breakfast were so chatty. A couple were regular visitors to Sunnyside House and I can understand why. Had the best sleep, Room was lovely.

Amazing place and wonderful host!

Pros: A beautiful Victorian property with lovely decor throughout the house, near the sea and just a few minutes walk from Rothesay town centre. I stayed in a cozy and quiet room, which had all what I needed for my stay. I booked last minute and only a room on the back of the house was available, but I could still enjoy the sea view from the large window in the breakfast room in the morning. The full breakfast was amazing and various options are available. Lovely host, who made me feel welcome and offered lots of advice about restaurants, cafes and places to visit. I wish I could have stayed longer and I'm hoping to return again in the future!

Stormy trip to rothesay

Pros: I have been here a good few times. Love the hosts who are so welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Great location and views were excellent despite the storm over the weekend. Breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day and plenty of choice and my omelette was superb as usual.

Cons: Nothing as know what to expect through previous visits

Good comfortable stay

Pros: Beautiful view from the room. Room and ensuite very clean and comfortable. Lorna and Stevie made us feel very welcome. Cooked us a lovely breakfast, second morning we were leaving early Lorna offered to do us an early breakfast but we opted for the packed lunch instead which was very nice. Would definitely recommend staying at Sunnyside House. Two local pubs made us feel very welcome, Macs Bar and the Rabbie. Also the Kettle Drum cafe all recommended by the host.

Cons: the weather

We had a wonderful stay at Sunnyside made so special by Lorna.

Pros: Breakfast was amazing. The full Scottish was superb with plenty food on the plates. Homemade jam was delicious. The double bedroom at the front has exceptional views. Very comfortable chairs. Lovely en-suite. Lorna is a fantastic host and made our stay memorable. She is knowledgeable about the area.

Cons: Having to leave after such a great time.

Pros: Amazing hosts, great location and wonderful breakfasts- will be back!

Bute is beautiful

Pros: The view of sea and the harbour from our room, especially in the morning

Cons: Bathroom a bit small for me
