We will return

Pros: The location was fabulous, our hosts Lyn and Colin were exceptional and they made the stay perfect especially during Storm Amy and when we had a flat battery on our car. The view from the house was beautiful. The facilities were wonderful.

Relaxation

Pros: The views, the house, the owner(sorry didn't catch her name), everything really.

Cons: Too strong a word for didn't like, but the beds will probably need to be replaced sooner rather than later, very squeaky.

Lovely place to stay in the centre of Kilmartin Glen

Pros: Lovely location, standing stones over the road from our bedroom window. The owner had numerous information leaflets and a book on the area, and was knowledgeable about where to visit, shop, and eat out. The owner sets out food for pine martens. We had never seen one, and we were able to watch the pine martin feed and hear all about them. The road can be busy but quiet at night; it's really a peaceful place, with plenty of space to park and right in the centre of Kilmartin Glen, so very central for this area. A spacious dining room and reception area, with a choice of books to browse, and a lovely garden with a burn. We were very cosy in our bedroom, with the heating on, felt very comfortable.

Cons: To be honest, having to think of things that would have made it a 10/10 for us now. For my partner, he mentioned no mirror above the sink for shaving. The beds were a little hard for us; maybe a mattress topper would be helpful, but matresses are always very personal. Would have liked a choice of a very simple cooked breakfast like eggs on toast rather than all the carbs.

Brilliant stay at Dunchraigaig House

Pros: A very warm welcome from Lynne who was so helpful and friendly and could not have done any more for us. She gave up her time to meet up at dusk each evening to watch the pine martins. Excellent room, comfy, quiet and clean. Good continental breakfast. Parking on site. A lovely area to visit and Lynne gave us helpful information on the area.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like.

Relaxed, friendly and just what was required

Pros: Continental breakfast suited us fine as we we cycling a lot. Location was excellent for Crinan canal and the Argyll Art open week locations. You also cannot move for ancient monuments and you can make yourself king at Dunadd hill fort. The pine martins were the cherry on the top of the cake.

Cons: Nothing.

A lovely quiet and comfortable B&B in the heart of Kilmartin valley.

Pros: A lovely quiet location within easy reach of the prehistoric sites of the Kilmartin valley. Our host could not have been more helpful, giving advice on local sites and was very happy to offer an alternative menu for breakfast which we had pre arranged with her. The room was very spacious and clean with a very nice en-suite bathroom.

Cons: No problems or issues!
