Very homely place

Pros: This was such a homely and welcoming place. The owners received us like members of their own family. The room was cozy and comfortable, and breakfast was served in the family’s own kitchen — a lovely touch! Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we truly felt at home here. PS Make a reservation when you want to dine in Drymen.

One night stay after day 1 of the WHW.

Pros: Aggie the dog 😍 Host Carolyn was very friendly and is clearly a great baker/cook. We had a lovely dainty cheese scone along with our breakfast that was very tasty in addition to the yummy traybake we enjoyed on our arrival the previous afternoon. Also appreciated the efforts to provide environmentally friendly products.

Pros: The location is lovely, the owners are very welcoming and the breakfast is perfect. This is our second visit and we will be back. An added bonus is the close parking and ground floor room.

Pros: A message beforehand for expected arrival time and a very warm welcome at the door. The room was clean and beautifully set up. Handmade pizza was gorgeous and breakfast, too. Carolyn Home was best situated on the west Highland way. I definitely would visit again.

Wonderful hosts and a beautiful home.

Pros: Carolyn and Steve were super friendly, warm, and helpful hosts. They also made amazing homemade pizzas and a delightful full scottish breakfast for us. Lewis gave me a lovely tour of Altquhur Byre’s history! A really beautiful home with comfortable beds and very nice rooms. Car spots available in front of the house. Nice details like homemade soap. A short drive to nearby walks and nature. Definitely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in on my trip so far!

Cons: Nothing, only wish I could’ve stayed longer!
