Perfect from start to finish

Pros: The love shack is secluded, snug and comfortable. Ali, the host, is a beautiful person and the perfect host.

You need to stay here

Pros: An amazing, quirky and fun place to stay. Outdoor bath, sauna and fire pit was great. Ali is the nicest host and will go above and beyond to make your stay fabulous! Will definitely be back!

Love the loveshack

Pros: This is one of the quirkiest places i have stayed. It is so beautiful and filled with love and humour. I was by myself and loved the peace and stunning surroundings and walks. Ali was an exceptional host with a wonderful array of friendly pets to greet me each day. Would absolutely recommend this whether travelling alone, as a romantic break or as a group of 4 with the yurt as well. Just gorgeous in every way.

Cons: Midges. Ticks. Need lots of bug spray and light the fire!

Small but perfectly formed.

Pros: This had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. A cosy lounge with a log burner and a decent sized bedroom with a comfy bed. Kitchen was well kitted out perfect for cooking diner for two. Lots of outdoor space including a wood fired sauna yurt, a wood fired outdoor bath, gas BBQ. Location is idyllic with plenty of walking and cycling. Only a 40min walk/ 10 min cycle to Mohr84 where you can drop in for afternnoon cake, a quick pint or a tasty dinner. Ali was a great host.

The best place we have ever stayed!

Pros: Everything! It was extremely comfortable and practical with everything you could need, it has a magical feel about it and is the best place we have stayed. Ali has done an amazing job with this place and is so friendly and helpful making the trip even better, the location is fantastic with lovely walks nearby and a beautiful lake. The sauna and bath are so relaxing and the interior of the lodge is beautiful with something to see everywhere you look, I couldn’t recommend this place more!

A very special place.

Pros: We’d hit an exhaustion point in our vacation and Ali’s place was just what we needed. We were able to slow down, relax and sink deeply into the magic of Balquhidder. The outside living area is a dream while the inside is super comfortable with tons of character. The whole place has a vibe that is positive and creative and after 5 minutes with Ali you’ll understand why. She is as special as the lodge is. While I visited with my husband, I can see it being an oasis for a solo adventure, as well. And do NOT get me started on the bed! So incredibly comfortable. We didn’t want to leave-the bed or the lodge. Lastly, 2 days isn’t enough for this special place. If you can, book for longer.

Cons: The bathroom is small, but surprisingly practical. Don’t let the size put you off.
