Top notch! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Pros: What a beautifully presented place! Absolutely spotless and excellently equipped. Host (Kim) very responsive to queries and assisted with our questions promptly. Beautiful location with the most breathtaking views. Keysafe is a brilliant idea and made entry on arrival very straightforward. Dog shower was a fantastic added bonus! Very thoughtful to leave towels for the furry guest too! En suite shower was particularly awesome I wish I had one as good at home! Husband accidentally left his phone charger and Kim was very accommodating in allowing us to retrieve it (thanks so much).

Lovely stay in a beautiful location

Pros: Views were stunning, we never tired of the view from the living room window. The facilities were excellent from the WiFi, to the boot room it really was a home from home. The beds were very comfortable and pillows were just as good. Owner was contactable and accommodating. Proper had some lovely period features mixed well with a more modern feel. Area and neighbours very quiet and private. One thing I didn't notice from the pictures was the extent of the hill gradient the property sits on and the steepness of the garden to get to the decking. This wasn't an issue for us, but might be for older / less able guests. Mobile phone reception was good. We were using EE and speeds of 20mbps+ were recorded. Another thing to note was the exceptional view of the stars on a clear night. We even caught a glimpse of the Milky Way with the naked eye.

Cons: Without being overly critical or negative, a couple of things I'd highlight for future guests.. We found it initially quite difficult to control the heating. After spending some time reading the instructions which advised to use thermostat in hall, we discovered the heaving was controlled by Hive and all of the radiators were controlled by WiFi. The thermostat in the hall didn't appear to do anything and after sometime I had to contact the owner for help. The owner advised she had turned the heating on remotely and the house heated up, but for the price we paid I would have expected to be able to control the heating manually and have it set to appropriate temperatures as and when required by us. The owner was very accommodating regarding the issues. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue but it appears the weather decided to take a cold turn during our trip. Bathroom tap in en-suite can overspill sink if you're not very careful. Not a criticism, just a word of warning if you have a kid who likes to turn taps on full blast!

Home Away From Home. Can't wait to stay there again.

Pros: Home Away From Home. Exceptionally well-appointed accommodation with all the little extras you would expect from a family home: fully fitted kitchen, books, toys, dog bowls, leaflets and map of local area, bbq, etc. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the showers were to die for and the beds were soooo comfortable. Loved the dog/boot room with shower by the front door. Beautiful views over the Kyles and the Isle of Bute from the windows and decking. Close to woodland a beautiful beach. Visited by deer in the garden! Owner was very responsive to messages and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon the best ever - cava and fudge, and even helped when our wedding flowers were delivered elsewhere!

Cons: Having to leave at the end of our stay! The hill was a bit steep for the elderly relatives to walk up to the house (but did mean that we had beautiful views).

Tranquil, relaxing and very autumnal.

Pros: Location, such fantastic coastal and dark sky view. Comfy beds, sofas to sink into and a cost fire.
