Perfect getaway

Pros: What a beautiful gem of a place. I didn’t have much hope for this week with the weather and I’d taken a punt on the location with 2 boys (5 and 12) but… wow! The lodge has absolutely everything you could need for a stay. Really well set out, comfortable and homey. The location was stunning. We could have spent another week and still not be bored. A different walk with stunning views every day. We had a couple of trips into Balloch (about 40 mins away) did a loch cruise, sea life centre and the Jurassic grill, also stocked up at the co op. Theres a village shop in Balmaha, cafe and pub. Hotel next to the lodge with a restaurant but closed for winter but we stocked up and did our own thing. If you want a stunning lodge by the loch in beautiful surroundings, to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Absolutely loved it!

Beautiful tranquil setting, only the noise of wildlife around us.

Pros: Great location, next to entrance of site. Decorated for Christmas outside and in which was lovely. Very comfortable and homely.

Cons: Bumped my head a couple of times on the cupboards over the top of double bed, but I soon learned to avoid.

Cozy family getaway before Christmas

Pros: We arrived in the evening and were warmly welcomed by fairy lights and Christmas decorations, beautiful Christmas tree all lit up. We were also greeted with a bottle of wine- all lovely gestures! The lodge was immaculate and in a lovely location by the water.

Cons: Nothing- everything was great!
