Onich Hotel & Lochside Beach Pods

Pros: Thank you for a wonderful overnight stay the pods were fantastic well equipped and comfortable with everything needed for a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits to sit outside with the views. Popped upto the hotel for dinner and food was good very big portions for the price staff super friendly with a smile and happy to help.

Cons: Nothing will be back again

Pros: The pods are just wonderful. We stayed over Christmas time and enjoyed the Christmas lunch in the hotel. The staff were great and the food was exceptional. There is a beautiful walk along the loch and watching the wildlife is very relaxing. I felt very safe swimming in the loch too. 🥶 The underfloor heating is a real treat when you come in from a cold wintry day.

Cons: Added shelving would help, particularly in the bathroom and hooks on the door for hanging items. It would also help, as you cannot store food, for example on the floor, (aforementioned underfloor heating)as we found out with our Christmas chocolate!!😄

Exactly what we needed in the middle of a storm

Pros: Convenient for the ferry, which had been cancelled that evening. Friendly staff, clean room, food was good. Couldn't make any other comment as to facilities as we didn't use any others.

Cons: Nothing to say, other than the weather...

Pros: Location obviously, Price, amble parking and facilities.

Cons: Dated decor fixtures / Fittings but didn't hinder our stay, and accept some hoteliers are limited to a budget and need to prioritise.

Amazing stay

Pros: Beautiful location, stunning views to wake up to. Very helpful and friendly staff. Dogs were allowed in the bar while we watched the football with a drink and a snack.

Lovely stay

Pros: Loved the location, the hotel was very nice and clean, the owners were very nice and we felt very well looked after, i could not praise them enough for the work they put into running it all, even when checking out we thought we missed breakfast and we didn't but as we had to leave we didn't have the time to sit and we were given take away boxes and told to take food with us, food was great and enjoy everything we had, the pod we stayed in was lovely and amazing views.

Cons: The Pod took along time to heat up, there was fan but it isn't one that blows out heat, there was broken plug socket agaisnt the door wall, the bathroom door didn't close and a terrible breeze came through causing the pod to get very cold, we solved this by using a towel against the door, the toilet wasn't filling up everytime after use, we had to lift the lid a little to help it fill, we went to store our bags under the bed and there was some rubbish and towels that had been thrown under, unsure if they were clean or dirty as we didn't want to touch them.

Pros: The location was stunning. The pod was warm and clean.

Cons: The rooms were a bit worn down but considering this is a hikers hotel it’s to be expected with muddy boots etc.
