I truly enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return again.

Pros: The room was comfortable and warm (I stayed at the end of February during several rainy days). The location is very convenient, close to the city center and within walking distance of the train station. All the staff were supportive and kind. I met three staff members at the reservation counter during my stay, and each of them was very welcoming. They kindly helped me reserve tables for breakfast and dinner and took great care of me throughout my visit. I was very happy to meet them. The beef served for dinner at the restaurant was also delicious. I hope to see them again if I have another opportunity to visit Scotland :)

Cons: There is no convenience store nearby, so you may need to walk a little to buy daily necessities.

Excellent, comfortable hotel in a great location.

Pros: Friendly welcome from receptionist, very clean room & bathroom with comfortable bed. Location is very convenient for Queens Park, such a lovely large area for walking and enjoying the outdoors.

Cons: Disappointing there isn’t a lift and the curving stairs can be difficult while carrying luggage and bags. Couldn’t get any hot water to the basin in the shower room, It took a a long time to get just warm water, though the shower was just warm enough.

Pros: Staff were fantastic, I spoke to all the staff I saw and everyone was always smiling. Room was brilliant and the bed was super comfy. Great location and very easy to get to from the train station just a few minutes walk and a great park to walk around just outside the hotel.

Highly recommend

Pros: The staff are really efficient, helpful, and cheerful. The building is elegant, tastefully decorated in a quiet area overlooking the park. I loved the ambience in the bar area. The lighting and choice of music is perfect. The chap behind the bar is wonderful. Our stay was excellent value for money.

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.

Peace and quiet when you need it

Pros: I requested a quiet room as in Glasgow arranging a family funeral and was given a lovely one, it was an uplifting surprise and great value for money. I liked how peaceful the setting is, yet just 10 minutes walk to a station with a short train ride into the city centre.

Cons: Only small issue was that just outside my room the fire door leading upstairs made quite a bang when people went through it.

Pros: Lovely hotel, great location. Very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: Unfortunately no lift and we were on 2nd floor, which was a bit difficult for my husband.

Another enjoyable stay at this homely and friendly hotel

Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable beds and nice to stay in unique, traditional accommodation rather than a multiple branded hotel. Parking is definitely a plus.

Cons: The room at night was extremely warm (better than it being too cold!). Dim lighting in the bathroom.
