Tirlaggan House

Pros: There was a generosity of spirit about the way the house was equipped. Although there was a serious hitch with the central heating we were very quickly supplied with alternatives and stayed very cosy.

Cons: Having to leave!

Lovely stay but ferry service not brilliant to Lismore

Pros: Lovely holiday home, clean and tastefully decorated. Spacious and nice furniture. Everything was there that you needed even a slow cooker.

Cons: Island was a bit too quiet but it is worth going once. Ferry service to Lismore is not often enough as last ferry to the island is 17.15. If you like walks,solitude its definitely the place to visit.

Stunning modern home in a peaceful setting

Pros: Beautiful home. Love the big glass frontage. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend break on Lismore. The bedding was luxurious, we loved the decor, great shower. Loved it! The kitchen had everything one would need, including a coffee plunger, toaster, oven etc. Even had some basics like oil, salt etc, although we had brought all that with us.

Cons: Nothing really. After weeks of sunny weather, the rain sadly came as we arrived on Lismore and stayed for the entire time. Oh, if I had to single something out, it would be that we couldn't get hot water in the kitchen to do the dishes - needed to boil the kettle. No white bag for the recycling - hope they will collect despite using the black bag that was provided.

Pros: Very clean comfortable house. Has everything you need to have a good stay there. The island was beautiful and the weather was hot.

Cons: Ok so bad points were the weather was hot and the glass doors can't be opened in the main room which made the place stifling! .. Also the pictures do not show actually how close this property is to the studio apartment.. Forget a night under the stars with the windows open in the bedroom as your neighbour can see right in from his garden. A bit off putting walking around the house in skimpy outfits too to get cool.. This is the only reason I didn't give it a 10..

We loved staying at Tirlaggan house and could have stayed longer, it felt very homely.

Pros: Lovely space and decor, comfortable and well equipped with nice things, we hardly wanted for anything. Gorgeous shower. Good location with good views, sunrise and clear starry skies.

Cons: The house gets very hot when the sun is shining but the bi-folding doors in the lounge were broken so wouldn't open which was a shame. (The bedroom ones did open)
