West Loch House

Great place to stay.

Pros: Warm quiet room. Nice buffet breakfast. Near Kennacraig Ferry terminal. Friendly host. Third time I've stayed and would stay again.

Cons: No WiFi in bedroom. However free wifi is available in common areas. Not a problem for me.

Short and seeet

Pros: We were late to arrive as the ferry had been delayed and the lady was very accommodating

Overall an enjoyable stay. Left before breakfast was served but previously had breakfast here and was 10/10

Pros: Lovely cosy feel as you enter the property. Room was warm on a very cold and wet night. Room was comfortable and clean.

Cons: The shower wasn’t great due to a lack of pressure but likely can’t be helped so doesn’t reflect too badly on my stay. Will stay again

Great and pleasant and will sure book again if visiting the area.

Pros: Hotel was cleaner than I exceptected. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were great and warm. Nice location.

Cons: The bed wasn't firm enough and wasn't suitable for my tall height.

Warm and welcoming property

Pros: Lovely property maintained to a high standard my en-suite room was spotlessly clean with modern decor, comfortable bed and nice and warm.

Pros: room was just perfect overlooking the water. Owners were friendly and helpful. easy access to carpark, rooms. Breakfast was delicious :)

Cons: I would have liked to have had my Labrador in with me, instead of leaving her in the jeep, so I would not choose this accommodation again if I was brining my pet. Would be good to have a couple of rooms that allow pets which would make the guest house more appealing. I do appreciate why some pets are not that friendly or well behaved but I can only speak about mine. They are both labs and gun dogs so friendly and obedient. If it was only myself and my partner then I would stay.

Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Went over and above to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Our delay on Islay due to Storm Amy meant a couple of booking dates changes. Great location next to Loch. Near Tarbert for groceries and eating out. Close to Kennacraig for ferry to Islay.

Great location for Kennacraig!

Pros: Great place, located a perfect distance from the Islay ferry at Kennacraig. Owners were great and extremely helpful.

Good value accommodation with lovely loch views

Pros: In all honesty our stay at West Loch House was better than we anticipated. It appeared that the rooms had been newly decorated and building refurbishment made the B&B look better than the pictures, Our room especially the bathroom was very spacious. It was very clean and had a good TV. We had views over the loch and the accommodation provided easy access to places further south and Tarbert.

Cons: The wifi was very poor and probably the worst we have ever experienced in paid accommodation. The beds were not very comfortable.

Lovely, would stay again.
