IVY- Braveheart Guest House

Situated in central Edinburgh, IVY- Braveheart Guest House is 10 minutes’ walk from the International Conference Centre and 20 minutes’ walk from the castle. There is a free WiFi. Rooms have a hairdryer, and a flat-screen TV. Each also comes with tea and coffee making facilities. The shops of bustling Prince’s Street are a 20-minute walk from IVY- Braveheart Guest House. Holyrood Park, where you can climb Arthur’s Seat, is 2 miles from the building. We are a city centre guest house, therefore there are noisy road next to us. There are two set off staircase, each around 20 steps, we have no lift. The guest must respect the other guest and make sure to not make noise to bother other customers. The customer can not cancel the room on the day of the arrive, if you have special need or allergy to particular thing, please call us to check it out before you booking the room We only provide tea/coffee, hair dryer, towels on the day of arrival and can change towels every three days. Fore those would like big room, check out late or lots of facility, please book hotels with higher cost.

Pros: Fantastic stay! Cozy, clean, affordable, and just steps from public transport. The host was so welcoming — I felt right at home from the moment I arrived.

Cons: Needs a bit of renovation but not a bother at all. Loved our stay.

Definitely would stay again

Pros: It was just what I needed. I visited with my daughter. The room was just how it looked in the photos. I took a bus from the airport to get to the guesthouse. So close to all the attractions yet quiet enough for a good sleep. I had the windows open overnight. The host is exceptionally accommodating - a really kind person. There was a huge mixup on my side and he was very understanding and helpful. If I visit again I will be staying at Braveheart guesthouse.

A pleasant and comfortable stay with helpful staff and good service.

Pros: When we first entered the room, it smelled very nice and clean. Housekeeping came every day. Overall, we were very satisfied with the stay in terms of location, transportation, cleanliness, and comfort. When we arrived early, they helped us with our luggage and later allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier.

Cons: I only expected the toilet and bathroom to be cleaned daily as well.

Good value, central, self-service

Pros: Good value for an expensive city, nice location. Room big enough for 2 and space used well. Nice TV w decent watching options.

Cons: Managing staff seem allergic to guests. One member let us in, gave keys - gone. Ignored email inquires. Lots of stairs to top floor, but pretty carpet and staircase almost make it worthwhile

Perfect for both Murrayfield & Old Town

Pros: This was a lovely twin room! It was a lot more spacious than expected and clean and comfy. The location is fantastic - we needed to get to Murrayfield and it was equidistant between the stadium and town. Also close to the Meadows if you fancy a walk.

Cons: We had a lovely stay.
